I know...I started down the list and quit...there are lots that deserve it but there are quite a few that are interlopers.

They may. If not for the Holocaust it is possible Israel wouldnt exist. Even if not, the Holocaust will no doubt be a major event for Jews (and the world) for a very long time. Again, the list is about significance, not good.
