On another board there was a young person who said s/he could text and drive just fine, it allowed as how texting while on the motorcycle was difficult. Seriously it didn't post long, and then suddenly was gone.

WE do too but it appears to not be legal.

They are legal in California.. same as a CB in a Big Rig.. it's called "One Touch"

If you can just key the mike to talk it's legal.. it's when you have to dial a number or texting..

A CB or 2-way radio is considered "One Touch" in the USA and legal in all 50 states.

The Pilot Car / Escort Service guiding a Wide Load may use a CB or 2-way radio.

WOW!! Just WOW!!

I don't have a CB, really don't want to listen the other drivers crying about pay or bitching about Blacks and Hispanics...

But for emergency, traffic accidents.. I think they are useful.

But my XM Satellite Radio keeps me company on the road.. and the odd girl hitch hiking from coast to coast.. ;-)
people still hitch hike? that surprises me... and frankly I wonder how many never make it 8O:-(

Don't know anybody with a personal CB. Commercial two-ways are a dime a dozen.

We should introduce a £20,000 fine AND a spell in prison until they've paid the fine for any cyclist who is caught going through red traffic lights.

Plus a good rollicking and a slap.

In the interests of safety it would be far better to ban bicycles from the roads.

I would think that the cost in medical care of the idiots who drive, text, and crash outweighs any revenue.

The accident rate has gone up in Alberta since the distracted driving law came into effect. Politicians only look at the revenue as do the insurance companies in particular. Think of all the increased premiums they are getting

There is a revenue stream from bicycles?
There can be if the politicians want it
