I think Harper's comment just shows his and his party's inability to make any useful political gains out of the whole thing.

And now it seems that not only backbenchers, but the other parties, too would welcome a delay of more than the 30 days after Gomery releases his report.......

Greasy Martin, with his stories about integrity and sitting with his Pappy in the House of Commons. Yeah, sure you'll call an election within 30 days. Lying piece of crap.

Hey, MMMike, he has to go with his strengths. Went out west and said was making headway against western alienation. Guess he has problems reading polls too. 36% of Westerners say they should explore separatism. But that's headway, in Martins mind, I guess. Maybe his way of ending Western Alienation is to have them separate and "POOF" no more West to alienate. What a moron.

Re: Gomery will be "un-decisive"

Can anyone really imagine Gomery's report finding the obvious dirt on the PM and friends and Chretien?

Putting our faith in Gomery will not be rewarded.

Here is how it goes:
Gomery releases the report, but it will seem watered down, as usual for these things. That is his job as defined by the one who appointed him - Martin!!
If it is widely seen as Gomery doing a poor job, he loses credibility , so what? He won't need to have credibility, his career is near the end, and/or he will get money under the table!! Why change now?

At that point, when nobody can decide what to do based on the report , and no criminal charges result - whats next?

The Election is next!!

And since we were waiting to see if the report contained anything decisive so we can vote accordingly, and we see that it doesn't, Canadians will once again vote Liberal, Martin's leadership intact.

Makes you wonder what will actually grab Canadians wrath so they want a politician dumped. Oh wait, I know, Steven Harpers haircut. How pathetic. You are probably right. Cannot wait to see what the folks out west have to say if this happens.
