I don't know how I will vote in the next election , I can assure you it will be the NOT HARPER candidate. Much as I will not like to do it I will vote for which ever candidate's party the polls (I know they are wrong often) indicate can topple Harper.

A long way to 2015. Certainly the Conservatives are in the doldrums right now. Attack ads won;t work this time, is my opinion. People are sick of the negativity. That's about the only rpediction I'll make at this point.

You're right a lot can happen. The economy could rebound. Justin could suffer an ugly haircut (impossible I know) but a lot could happen. Who knows in 2015 I might be sick of the conservatives and give my blessing. Then it will be a shoe in for sure.

I really wish Jack was still the NDP leader. Would make the 3rd choice much more palatable. I think Harper is getting old. But I shudder at Justin in a position of power.

Actually if you look you will see that Justine is going bald , like his father before him .If his haircut is going to be his running mate he better win next time around.

First of all let me say I don't like Trudeau, and that is also what bothers me.
Trudeau will win the next election or force Harper into a minority government
so he can't do anymore damage to Canada.
yes polls go up and down they are snapshots in time however even when the
tories go back up they never come close to the old numbers they used to get.
their poll rise is les and less all the time. They have to apease their base.
the base is out of step with the rest of the country
There is a real sense in the air that people want change and who ever shows
up that ain't Harper has a real chance of being government. The Tories have
no real somebody to take over either it reminds me of the Mulroney era.
Trudeau is new young women like him
The real essence of an election is "make the voters hate them more than they
hate you and right now they are disatisfied with what we have.
Agreed!

pfa you are the one out of touch
Well Grumpy I have been reading your predictions for over five years now and have not seen you get one right .
So now again who is out of touch ? Hey your NDP sure cleaned up in the last B.C. Provincial election . Go look back on your prognostications prior to that election.

That is about all I would discuss about the qualities of Justin Trudeau as a politician. He is one scary dude when it all comes down to random quotes from him in the past couple years.

He was outraged some time back that literature about tolerance also include that honour killings are a horrific barbaric act. For some reason he thought that wording might offend Muslims. Go figure. I have tried to find that news release, seems to have been wiped clean on internet. Very interesting. But I do know I read it, and he tried to backcheck about what he "meant".

He also says interesting things about Quebec separation.

I would not trust him as far as I could slick back that wavy hair.

He might be a good husband and dad and he should stick to that vocation. I pray that no one gets duped by the trudeau promotions.

Politics is a popularity contest without substance. Trudeau's hair will win out over Harpo's Lego Man hair any day. He will probaly beat any man's hair on CC, so I think you are all jealous.

The Tories are a spent force because they abandoned honesty
and the ethics they promised. These errant Senators are not by
chance. Harper appointed them and they were doing his bidding.
In the last election these folks were his optics and his voice in
many cases. They also scooped up whatever was at the edges
of the trough. Harper will bow out if he's smart but there is no one
to replace him that can win. Harper is a small man with a mean
spirit and its beginning to show. No I am not talking about making
tough decisions I am talking about his demeanor in general.
He is conniving and control obsessed and that is the worst of all
combinations. He got the Senators to do his dirty work and has
abandoned them even his closest staff he abandoned.
People are getting sick of him and the way things are and when
that happens who knows who will win but it won't be Harper.
Conservatives come once in a generation like the locust and devour
the benefits of the land then they go back to wherever and leave us
in peace until we forget our lessons.

All the people who voted against Harper last time still don't like him. Is that surprising ?

We may not know much about Justin, but I'd vote for him ahead of the one I know is a lying sack of excrement.
