Then if we conclude that, make him work in prison. At least he'll make a small contribution to supporting himself while there.

How about sending him back to Rwanda whether he signs the deportation form or not.

Rwanda is requiring him to sign the reentry form not Canada. Last time I checked, Canada controls its own airports. Put him on a plane and drop him off at the terminal in Rwanda.

That is where he came from.

No NATO escort needed. A simple international flight will do.

If you read the article, he merely claimed to be from Rwanda, but there are reasons to believe he might be from Tanzania. I presume the documents he had to sign were to authorize the Rwandan government to investigate his nationality. If you buy a plane ticket, he could be turned back on the Rwandan side, then he'll be stuck in international terminals for the rest of his life.

But no longer our problem.

That must be based on the crimes of a settler in America over being an Indian and a citizen of the land for eons when you go to court. For all the crap about political correctness we haven't integrated with the Indians very much over the last 100 years and I doubt they can be blamed for that considering what was done to them after we got them locked up on a Reservation. . . . . . .Anybody need to be reminded that is where they still are and no plans on the table to change that. Show their history at the refugee camps and you won't have to worry about the poor coming over, it can be restricted to the crooks that have the money that have always been welcomed with open arms (to hold the cash that changes hands)

There is a huge difference between evicting a refugee and terminating someone's
privileges because they constantly refuse to obey the law and commit criminal acts
and as of today they are still not a citizen. Keeping them in prison is not the answer
deportation is the answer. In this case he was allowed in and given asylum. He
has also abused the privilege of his conditions for asylum. Therefore its a totally
different situation than the discrimination proposed by Trump in the USA.
Now as of this morning the new head of homeland security, the national security
of the army and the national security advisor are questioning the seven countries
saying Iraq for example should not be on the list. There are no Trumpites here
it is a question of we have a visitor we gave sanctuary to that cannot abide by the
rules of the village and its time for him to go.

The problem here is we don't know where to send him to.

So that leaves the options of release or remain in prison.

If it were just immigration violation, I'd say let him out to work. But here we're dealing with criminal acts. Although he also completed his sentence. Makes it a grey area.

Rwanda won't accept him because he might not even be Rwandan. By the same logic, we could just ship him to the US too.

Lunyamila arrived in Canada without any documentation after jumping off a ship and claiming refugee status in 1994 as a citizen of Rwanda.

Send him to Rwanda.

Send him to Rwanda.

Had he been smart, he would have claimed to be a citizen of Sweden, the UK, or the US instead.

If you read further down the article, a linguistics expert thinks he could be Tanzanian too.
