J.Assange Legal Problems Inteeensify

Yeah, we're caught in a little war with China, right now because Canada is holding a senior Chinese executive for extradition to the USA. The problem is that Trump has publicaly declared that the arrested executive is a bargaining chip for him in his trade negotiations with China. Therefore, we are holding political prisoner/hostage on behalf of the American governmemt. The Chinese response has been to arrest a few random Canadians in China and sentence them to death.
And the Canadian response to the Chinese executing some Canadians would be the usual weak, feeble, lovey-dovey response expected from most Western countries nowadays: "We can't execute this guy because that would go against his human rights and we mustn't declare war on China because some people might get hurt."

When the Swedes did that a decade ago, they were quite eager to please their American friends. Now that America is no longer their friend, the Swedes don't see the point of continuing the charade on America's behalf.
