My thesis is that American law reaches all over the planet and ensnares those who have no say in it's making, anywhere the US wishes to grab them. I'm sure that the Romans felt the same way about their hegemony.

Extradition is perfectly normal. Many, if not all, countries practise it.

Yeah, we're caught in a little war with China, right now because Canada is holding a senior Chinese executive for extradition to the USA. The problem is that Trump has publicaly declared that the arrested executive is a bargaining chip for him in his trade negotiations with China. Therefore, we are holding political prisoner/hostage on behalf of the American governmemt. The Chinese response has been to arrest a few random Canadians in China and sentence them to death.

And the Canadian response to the Chinese executing some Canadians would be the usual weak, feeble, lovey-dovey response expected from most Western countries nowadays: "We can't execute this guy because that would go against his human rights and we mustn't declare war on China because some people might get hurt."

We're secretly getting ready for our invasion of China, right now.

WikiLeaks' Julian Assange charged with violating Espionage Act, U.S. officials say, in case that could test First Amendment rights

Assange, 47, remains jailed in London following his April eviction from the Ecuadoran Embassy. Assange, who already faced a conspiracy charge in connection with the 2010 leak of diplomatic cables and military documents that WikiLeaks published, has vowed to fight any effort to extradite him to the United States.

Two prosecutors involved in Julian Assange case argued against Espionage Act charges

The prosecutors examining the WikiLeaks founder's case feared such charges posed serious risks for First Amendment protections and had other concerns, according to people familiar with the matter.

The previously undisclosed disagreement inside the Justice Department underscores the fraught, high-stakes nature of the governments years-long effort to counter Assange, an Internet-age publisher who has repeatedly declared his hostility toward U.S. foreign policy and military operations.

When the Swedes did that a decade ago, they were quite eager to please their American friends. Now that America is no longer their friend, the Swedes don't see the point of continuing the charade on America's behalf.

Sweden’s involvement in the Clinton Foundation should be investigated
2 years ago

...charities and their potential for use in fraud, personal enrichment, and money-laundering, I have discovered that the Clinton “charities” stand at the core of a corrupt network of donors, politicians, and others who promote unregulated “globalist” projects...

...Novamedia is not careful enough in that large contributions have been sent by the lotteries towards “charitable” activities ostensibly run by the Clinton Foundation, even though these activities never have been validly authorized by the U.S. federal and state taxing regulators...

...As a guess, President Trump’s Department of Justice may soon move against the Clinton network, and such action will surely expose and draw into question support for suspect “charities” by Novamedia, by the Swedish taxpayer, and by other Swedish donors...

So that is why Hitlary “largest unprosecuted charity fraud ever attempted.” wants him epstiened. That is why the swedes dropped the charges...and soon he will be in the US where they will get what ever the brits have left him of his own mind and recollections...
