In the article below did they just admit to war-crimes, making a local become a refugee? That would have been about 1,700 people.

"Having discovered they were publicly accused of war crimes in the pages of Israel’s largest newspaper, veterans of the 33rd battalion of the Alexandroni Brigade were outraged. They maintained that the battle for Tantura was a strategic one, an attempt to stop the maritime smuggling of arms and food and to prevent the Haifa-Tel Aviv road from being cut off; and that throughout the fight for survival in a bloody war launched by the Arabs, they had maintained the strictest ethical standards. While the battle for Tantura was difficult – 14 members of the IDF battalion and about 40 Arabs were killed in street fighting – the veterans insisted Katz had lied about a massacre.
Indeed, they noted that by 10 a.m. on the morning of the alleged massacre, 99 percent of the villagers had already been transferred out of Tantura —the women to the nearby village of Faradis, and the fighters to the Zichron Ya’akov police station. In April 2000, attorney Giora Erdinast, a Peace Now activist and son-in-law of one of the battalion members, agreed to represent the veterans and filed a libel suit in Tel Aviv court against Teddy Katz. Katz reportedly received approximately $8,000 from former Palestinian Authority minister Faisal Husseini to pay for his defense."

Which is exactly what makes the entire concept of war crimes short of genocide or mass executions a ludicrous and idiotic concept.

If fighting continued and that is a given in War - Arab attack the Isreali's - civilian causalities would have been a fact - So if they were moved out of a battle zone -
Is that a War Crime? -

If you leave them and the Israelis are attacked and the civilians die then -
Is that a War Crime?

You are sitting on a picket fence on this one -

Suggest you move before you hurt your ass to much.

Grasshopper - You can pick your nose but a picket up the ass can be injurious to your future posts.

Hiya Goobs.

It's legally impossible to declare war on yourself.

If Palestine were officially a State then yes a declaration of war can be signed since it it's not this is basically a civil war or an internal policing action which both Israel and Hamas have been charged with international crimes against humanity and should both stand trial in the Hague.

When Israel stops collecting municipal taxes from Gaza and West Bank and lets them form a State and full self government then it's a war. Right now it's one ethnicity against another. Keep Srebrenica and the Holodomor in 1933 in mind when you think of legalities under international law.

Friendly neighbours put up picket fences...

Let us take that theory a tad farther - The Arabs never attacked the State of Israel - Why then do we have such a problem - They never signed off on War - Officially

That you have to ask shows your full potential.

All of them
Including Israel attacking Arabs Egytptians Jordanians, Lebanese, Americans, Syrians, Iraqis, British and Palestinians right?

Did I miss anybody? Yeah I did. Canadians have been attacked and slaughtered.

What has, can, and should be done about that?

Slow down Goober before you get irrational and start thinking of all this as sport like some do.

This is about legalities not "sides".

The State of Israel is legal - as decided by the UN - Arabs stated they would declare War if Israel declared Statehood and what happened - They attacked -

No one expected Israel to survive - predictions were they would be destroyed including all the mass murderers that would go along with such a friendly bunch of Arabs -

Then ALL of the UN resolutions and petitions against Israel and the Islamic/Christian Hamas provisional government that pays taxes to Israel should be legally binding then and all those pay taxes to Israel should have equal rights as a human beings?

Keep in mind the people of Srebrenica were under nearly identical legal status as Palestine.

Do you even know about Srebrenica?

Yes I do - Canadians soldiers were moved out and the Dutch moved in. Then the killing began - Is that close enough?

Close but what has happened since with those who plotted, organized and executed the killings?
UN opens Srebrenica trial 11 years after massacre
Friday, July 14, 2006 - 08:49 AM

Judges at the UN Yugoslav tribunal in The Hague, Netherlands, today began the latest – and largest – trial of military officers blamed for the summary execution of 8,000 Bosnian Muslims in Srebrenica 11 years ago.

Charges of genocide make the case against the seven former Bosnian Serb officers one of the most important in the tribunal’s history.
What differs between what happens in israel and what happened in former Yugo?
