Some people work for their money and quietly amass personal fortunes. Others make a lot of noise, flease the taxpayer and contribute nothing to the economy. All the while telling us it is for our own good.
You can reduce emissions without redistributing wealth.
Impossible... because it always comes down to distributing wealth. That is their solution. Taking wealth from Western Nations only and distributing it to everyone else. Mandatory reduction of emissions is just the vehicle to seize wealth.
And the world's second largest economy, soon to be first is STILL given an exoneration on this. Why? Because China will tell them to stick it up their azz today and 1,000 years from now and they know it. They know China is not soft and will never bend to the wants of these clowns. They will neither reduce their emissions nor will they pay if it is not in their interest.
That is true. A billion and a half people with absolutely no conscience among them.
You can reduce emissions without redistributing wealth.
Redistributing wealth will lower emissions from any region wealth is pulled from but will rise where distributed to with no loses of emissions. Great f-cking plan.
That has been going on for ages.
The better question is, why has the IMF pegged income inequality directly with global warming?
That part of the argument had more to do with the financial crisis and 'reforming capitalism'.
The two options for reducing emissions she proposed are a carbon tax and cap and trade - neither of which are a direct redistribution of wealth.
I get it now...
Capitalist emitters = increase in global warming
Socialist emitters = the only salvation for the world
Both options don't change anything other than people pay yet another tax
Neither of which implies any noteworthy redistribution of wealth.
Because you post the same information using different words, do you somehow believe that the base premise is different?
I get it now...
Capitalist emitters = increase in global warming
Socialist emitters = the only salvation for the world
There are many issues to consider in designing fiscal policies to mitigate climate change:

BINGO.
Game, set, match.
None of which will actually mitigate climate change. None.
