Kind'a hard to keep any promises when it comes to existing programs considering the absolute f*cking mess the Liberals left province's finances in.

Some people can't work or are unlucky in life. I accept that. the idea of just giving them money still worries me though. while some are poor through no fault of their own, others would just blow that money on who knows what addiction.
I'd rather give them education than money. That way we know the money's more likely to go to productive use.
Why is anyone surprised that Doug Ford has already broken an election promise?
What, like Trudeau and his election reform? How many idiots bought into that lie despite the fact the PM does not have the power to unilaterally change the electoral process. He did have the choice of not making that promise.
Were you surprised and all sarcastic when the Ontario Liberals broke election promises almost immediately after getting elected? Or is this just part of your partisan routine? Why is anyone surprised that Doug Ford has already broken an election promise?

In the run up to the 2014 election the Wynned Bag promised to reduce insurance rates by 15%. Didn't happen. There was only a 6.6% reduction. When the Wynned Bag was challenged on it, she blew it off by saying that 15% was a "stretch goal". Well she certainly didn't tell us that BEFORE she was elected. In other words, she made a promise she knew she was unlikely to keep.
In 2014, in raising the minimum wage from $10.25 an hour — where the Liberals had kept it since 2010 — to $11 an hour, Wynne promised that going forward, hikes to the minimum wage would be predictable and linked to inflation, to be fair to employers as well as employees.
But, heading into the June election, Wynne announced a 31.6% hike to the minimum wage over 15 months, a direct contradiction of her earlier commitment and an obvious political move to force Ontario’s employers to pay for her attempt to buy the votes of minimum wage workers.
And then we have Dalton McGuinty, who came to power in 2003 promising not to raise taxes. Even made a big to-do about signing a pledge with the Ontario Taxpayer's Federation before introducing the single largest tax hike in Ontario history.
It's one thing to make a promise and then have to back down because of outside circumstances. It's quite another to make a promise knowing full well you have no ****ing intention of keeping said promise.

By not paying attention you are sure the duely elected Premier of Ontario is a blowhard Contard .I wonder how you would feel if you were paying attention ?Actually I don't pay much attention to Ontario politics, but when a blowhard conturd like Ford comes along I am always interested in seeing how many of his promises he can keep.
So are they simply incompetent or was the program designed to fail so nobody else would try it.
It should have been a nation wide test program where a person with a Canadian Birth Certificate gets a yearly amount from the Fed Gov. At the end of the year all a person's other income is added in and when you get above a certain level the basic income starts coming off as it is a fund to bring everybody up to the poverty line. Lots of complaints about what AISH pays but nobody mentions that it is still about $5,000 below the poverty line. Should somebody like Walter endrd up on it he would be pushing for the raise, until then it is money going to the useless eaters.

So you do in fact pay attention to Ontario politics .I do watch several news channels each day. Ontario is always in the news, and the picture painted of Premier Ford pretty much fits my description of him.
