Canadians brace for a cold spring coast to coast - Canada - CBC News

No, where I live, the equinox simply means residents have survived six months of winter and there is just a little over a month or two left of blizzard, cold, and influenza. The gods may have given lesser folks short, sissy winters, but they have smiled on us; we have the real McCoy!
I understand why hockey is a summer sport where I live.
May all of you have real winters.
Join me in this prayer?

Think I'll go out and shovel ; need the exercise.

See, sissy winters! We had over 30 cm over the last week. I hope they groom the crosscountry ski trails so my neighbours can get to work; I hear Henry has frozen to the lamppost; he took "Piss on winter" literally.

We have a sissy winter no snow the grass is now green and I am trying to prune
apple trees between rain events. I would rather have colder weather and snow
right now. Warm like this could bring an early bloom and that increases the risk
of severe frost early in the season. Rain sucks

petros you got that right we had a good year last year because eastern Canada
had the worst spring in decades and their apple crops were nearly completely
destroyed.
One good thing about spring though is the Rider football season will soon begin

I'll have flooded land again which means planting short season crops and far more work.

Grey Cup is here this year and it gets crazy. I've never seen any other party like it.

I see by the seven day forcast that our highs are getting up to 13 degrees these days. That makes me think that Spring can't be that far away. We have a few apple trees that are just getting green leaf buds. I've already sprayed once this year. One more to go and after that it is mainly maintenance spraying against insects. One of the problems is that none of the neighbors spray their fruit trees at all.

That global warming is crazy stuff. Anything could happen.

If we have a fast melt, you should come out and go white water kyacking on what looks like flat land.

Sorry about the thumbs up. My mouse misfired from the cold.
