Chart or no chart before the late forties Alberta was a nowhere province filled with
people who didn't whine about their privileged lot in life. Since then except during
Don Getty's term in office all they have done is paid and complained. Don at least
had some class. Today we have a bunch of simplistic whiners and the current
Prime Minister who is living a failed dream of the 1980's still making changes on
issues that have already passed on the world stage. Building new expensive and
debt ridden prisons while the serious crime rate is actually going down. They are
still complaining about pensions, and now instead of taking care of MP pensions
which are a drop in the bucket when compared to the real fiscal problems of the
country, they are now content with dragging everyone Else's pension down to the
lowest level. What has this to do with equalization? It is the fuel of the whining
mind set many of these people have. Somehow they are above everyone else.
Oh they live in Canada and they are Canadian, but instead of being part of a
national family they behave like some rich uncle who believes some are more
equal than others.
No I do not hate Albertans, I have lived there a few times but I prefer not to stay
for long periods of time. I liked Red Deer and I liked Edmonton and even Peace
River, but the South no thanks. That seems to be the source of the problem.
Maybe its the water in the Bow River or something. I just wish they would be a
part of the national fabric of Canada and stop with the we are victims and look
a how much we contribute. Charts mean nothing in terms of family. Good God
if I took that attitude in our family things would be chaotic. We have 24 grand
kids now, a new one a month ago, and every time I help the older ones out with
something I teach them about how money works and how to develop a work
ethic. I never whine about having to help them. A national family is no different
than a close family.
yes Albertans are a part of the Canadian family I just want them to behave like it.
Gee all those red neck Alberta tories really seem to get under your skin eh grumpy?
Funny all those albertans going against the grain and electing all tory governments, what a bunch of neandrathals.
Something like your neighbors in Penticton electing Stockwell Day,you must be so proud.
