Charges of Biden’s somewhat innocent expressions of affection, read as sexual harrassment, show the Dems fatal flaw. In a wider sense it reflects this hypersensitized, really hyper-offensensitized culture in which we live now and which the Democrats have become a prime expression.

It has become so riven with a mentality of victimization that it will likely be impossible for any Democratic candidate to forge a cohesive union. It’s ethnic, racial, gender, tribe against tribe. It’s even more difficult now since they have abandoned the best interests of their traditional constituency of working class, often Catholic, unionized industrial workers and independent farmers.

That means the party platform will subordinate holistic, progressive and, equitable fiscal policies centred around family and community values in favour of the politics of resentment and division, of ideological fortresses. The process is so skewed now it has lost all sense of finding common interests and the commonweal, in favour of policies that divide and particularize. All sense of Fanklin Roosevelt/ John Kennedy practical, universal idealism has collapsed in the Democratic Party of today.
Trump has hijacked the traditional Democratic base.. Those are socially moderate, religious theists, economically progressive, populist, nationalist.

The Dems have marginalized themselves in increasingly hermetically sealed ghettos of feminism, homosexuality, radical environmentalism, multiculturalism (read that ethnic and racial identity) that stand in direct opposition to those of faith, country, community. They are actuated by a New Age pseudo ‘church’ defined by moral relativism, radical individualism, atheistic humanism.

No candidate who is white, Christian, male, of European descent (ie.. a colonialist) will receive any kind of comprehensive support from these closeted micro-cultures that form the competing power hubs of the Democratic Party and provide much of their financial support.

I don’t think Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden, the only canidates with real ties to the traditional working class Democratic base, can get the nomination. Even if they could they have so hopelessly compromised themselves to appeal to these constituencies in the culture wars on issues that are unacceptable to the broad American electorate, imbued with death and disorder, that they wouldn’t be able to get elected.

Homosexuality, AGW, abortion, euthenasia, racial profiling, form the basis of its social policies. Its economic policies increasingly form the values of the balkanized welfare state without the vigour of well regulated, economically integral, free enterprise.

The Octavio-Cortez’s have a death grip on the party’s electoral processes simply by being so active, engaged, and young; with legions of dedicated twitter followers. They have lots of time to discern the ‘in’ crowd’s pet peeves and causes and are savvy of the their jingo and patter; a luxury not shared by working parents and especially working class parents.

That resembles Venezuela’s form of fragmented economic anarchism that has become a patchwork shambles. It involves a untenable form of community activism and government ownership of all major factors of production. It robs the economy of the intermediate, corporate institutions that are essential to organizing sophisticated, interdependent, industrial processes.

They weren't read as sexual harassment. But thanks for your uninformed opinion.

That's exactly what they were read as. Intrusion in 'personal space', unwanted displays of affection.. the implication was clear.. especially under the umbrella of the 'Me Too' movement. But, thanks for your uninformed 'thanks'.

With Polls and Private Meetings, Republicans Craft Blunt Messaging to Paint Democrats as Extreme

Some Democratic strategists said they have been taken aback recently by how successful Mr. Trump and Republicans have been at setting the terms of the debate around liberal policy ideas. And they are encouraging their party to be more nimble and deliver a more concise and accessible message.
In a fight with Mr. Trump, they say, nuance is not usually the Democrats’ best weapon.
“What our side has to understand is that to fight Trump it’s a battle for definition,” said Celinda Lake, a top Democratic pollster who has been working with left-of-center groups on a strategy to counter the messaging campaign from the right.
“The Democrats will issue a 61-page white paper that nobody in their right mind will pass on to their friends,” she added. “He uses a one-sentence slogan, and his voters feel emboldened to share it, pass it on.”...…………..A lot more in the NYT link
