He is still President , much to your horror . Best pray that America stems the flow and elects that much more astute and sane candidate.
Remember don’t leave your daughter alone with him .

Millions of Americans go hungry as the pandemic erodes incomes and destroys communities

Meanwhile true leadership is MIA Trump is trying t discredit Fucci (sp) now. It is beyond ridiculous. Everyone ......is doing something different. No cohesive consistency. Many aer still pretending the pandemic does not exist.

This is revealing a USA that may have existed before , but now is in full world view. It is disorganized chaos. The right hand dose not know what the left hand is doing.

But if you don’t have sufficient funds you can wait as long as Canadians .
I don't have a problem with that. We have an unofficial two tier system here as well. If WorkSafe is paying you go to the front of the line probably in a private clinic. All working people must have this kind of service whether it is an off work injury or work related so they can get back to being a productive member again with a minimum disruption to earning capacity and a better chance of being completely rehabilitated and not have to retrain for a different job because in action for over a year now prevents them from healing properly. If you are not working you have time to sit around and wait for surgery.

There is a political problem in the US called States Rights. It can work both ways but it is difficult to provide a national strategy when all the various little fiefdoms can opt out by claiming it is their jurisdiction.
We have the same thing in Canada, but to a lesser extent. Education and health care being the two prime examples. Realistically we must have a national education system so a student in Newfoundland can move to Vancouver Island and be within days of the same place in the curiculium, instead of totally lost.

I was referring to the fact that the Government is relying on scientific data, like every other Western democracy (sans America). The numbers speak for themselves.
What has Doctor Teresa Tam done different or better in Canada ?

There is almost zero chance the playoffs will finish without entire teams either getting COVID, or being in quarantine. Just today, a slew of NHL players opted out of the Stanley Cup playoffs for various reasons.
So who cares if they get Covid , most won’t even know they have it .

WorkSafe does not put a worker to the front of the line if said injury happened off the job , or they can claim the injury is not work related . And if there is the slightest inkling of a possibility that the injury is not work related they will deny , deny and deny until you give up . Like any other insurance company WorkSafe is not your friend .

Canada adds health officials at U.S. border crossings to screen for COVID-19

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/canada-adds-health-officials-us-border-1.5645990

Border crossing is going to become a major concern.

PEI has a problem with Quebecers transiting through their province to get to the Magdalens. They are supposed to drive from the bridge to the ferry and wait there to get on the boat - but of course they don't and what is the PEI supposed to do?

Americans have been crossing into BC by saying that they are going to Alaska. But who knows where they're going or what they're doing?

This is going to be a problem going forward.

Hopefully there won't be a big second wave in Ontario and Canada won't have to send the military in to run things for them again.
