Still trying to find where I said anything like this: "Yes, I've often felt that visiting other places is exactly like living and raising a family there. "

I can point it out for you then...

China said in post #13, "Where else have you brought up your children #juan ?"

To which you replied in post #14, "Only in Canada but we've travelled a fair amount."

No need to thank me.

BTW, I've also lived in Germany and traveled extensively. I don't pretend to be knowledgeable with regard to the local child rearing abilities.

In the beginning, Canadian politicians were chosen from the ruling class. Now they can afford to pay some other schmucks to do the job for them. I wouldn't give two cents for the lot.

Why do we have to call them honourable when most of them aren't?

If given the chance i would say the dishonourable Steven Harper.

The best of the best PMs Canada will ever have, unless Justin will resurrect the Trudeau era of Canadian politics.

Pierre Elliott Trudeau, politician, writer, constitutional lawyer, prime minister of Canada 1968-79 and 1980-84 (b at Montréal 18 Oct 1919; d at Montréal 28 ...

I

Gdansk , Poland

I was in Gdansk a couple of years ago.
Passing through on business.
I had no expectations about the place before arrival.
I thought it was a great place.
I wandered about down town, found out it was the Amber Capital.
Great food, nice hotels.
Reasonable prices.
Interesting architecture.
Nice people.
I give it two thumbs up

Back on topic.
Pearson by far.

Trudeau was certainly the most polarizing.
Love him or hate him.
But he pushed Canada in directions that I feel hurt it us the long run.
And the divisions between francophone and anglophone and the East and the West that Trudeau created or fostered linger to this day.

I understand how socialists can revere him.
Personally while at the time I supported him, I now feel he did a great deal of damage to the country.

I had limited options on the poll, 10 in all, so I posted the 9 I guessed most likely to get a vote plus an "other" option.

I didn't think that Dief was a likely top 9 vote getter.

You are probably right- Dief was very popular in his day at the start of his terms. He was the first P.M. from the west in awhile, as a man he was regarded as honest and he was also regarded as very tough. He was very patriotic and he improved the lot of Saskatchewan buy selling lots of wheat to China. Sadly, Dief didn't listen too good & didn't welcome the opinions of his advisers.

I can see the confusion. The post I was referring to was removed. It had nothing to do with this thread. My post has nothing to do with your post.

Oh, yeah. That's like on the CBC site, where they edit the articles over the day, so many times posts refer to things that are no longer in the article. It's really confusing if you aren't reading it minute by minute.
