Hamas.
A resort area. Probably Israelis around. They have targeted tourist buses in the past.

perhaps locals are getting tired of an extremely oppressive regime in which there is no respect for human rights. One of America's 'client states'

good point. Mubarak of Eygypt is the longest serving life-time dictator. Good friends with the US. Now the US is tired of him and starting to cause uproar in that country by supporting the idea of fair elections. Why now USA?

Do they know is responsible? Car bombs sound like some sort of terrorist group. The article did not say.

considering this planet is the only one with "life as we know it"

Well that is a matter of opinion. You would be surprised to find out the "real truth".

( Probably would :) ----then maybe not so much.

no idea yet as to who is responsible. Will be interesting to see if this is part of a larger global web or something "local".

The Egyptian regime came from a socialism-tinged Arab nationalist movement, (Nasser booting King Farouk) and has fought a bitter low level war with Egypt's Islamists for decades.

After Nasser kicked the bucket, Saddat took over and when he was assasinated Mubarak stepped in. That is the socialist way.

It is a dictatorship as it was in Iraq. Prior to Saddam, there was a revolution to get rid of the king of Iraq. Then when the guy who took over kicked the bucket, Saddam took over.

It is amazing how you call one socialism and the other a dictatorship.

Your attempts to deflect and spin have always been interesting, nothing new here. I said it started as that movement in Egypt and evidently has ended up as a dictatorship. But you don't bitch when Nasser was supported by the Soviet Union. Interesting innit?

I never twisted anything. In your original post you never mentioned the word dictatorship. I was just making it clear to you. Interesting innit?

My point exactly. Thank you for the confirmation.

Remember that SH was a dictator supported by the USG. You turned against him. You will turn against nubarak too.

an aside, but relevant: Supporting the US is dangerous to a nations health. Being supported by the US is also dangerous to a nations health. The US has become far too fickle and follows the : Yesterday's friend is today's enemy. and vice versa. No nation can trust the US now.-as the US weilds its power indiscriminately , and unpredictably (loose cannon)...and this is perhaps the biggest tragedy in all of this.

seems they have yet to determine who is behind these explosions.

I can bet anything that it is well organized spate of killing. be it in London or Sharm-El-Shiek. They are the same with the same purpose. The purpose is killing in the name of Islam and creting hate and tension between religions and people.

What amused me yesterday or the day before is how was it that all four bombs had the detonators go off and not the actual bombs. Let's assume that the bombers are noobs, stupid and whathaveyou. At least one bomb could go off or none go off. The suspecious part is all four detonators went off.

strange.
