I'd Probably go to New Zealand too.

And I would die rather than becoming American. Nothing against American's..but would you die rather than being another nationality? Would you die before letting China annex America?

The answer is "No." Most people would rather live and become something else than die. This has been shown over and over again throughout history. Look at Iraq. Have most Iraqis chosen to die rather than fight for their country? No. Most occupations and annexations have resulted in the vast majority of the people choosing to live under occupation or changing their affiliation. You may in the minority, or it may be easy to say, or it may make people feel good writing it on a message board, but the simple fact is that most people would rather live. That is borne out as a fact of history, even when the occupying force is radically different than the local population.

Besides, there is a difference between subjugation and willful volition. In the context in which the assertion was made, there have been literally millions of Canadians who have moved south of the border since Canada has become a country, yet the number of times the US has invaded and occupied Canada during that time is exactly zero. When the question is phrased to Canadians whether or not they would "become Americans," the practical experience has been Canadians willfully becoming US citizens, not the US forcing Canadians to become such, despite the immature undercurrent in Canadian culture where the threat of America looms large.

Wow. You just don't see such a dog's breakfast of poll results like this one. Guess we all have different ways of loving our countries.

The poll was a dog's breakfast before anyone voted. The options were hopelessly skewed to favour the pollster's point of view.

Sort of like those dime slot toilet-stall doors - and a close-to-cloth emergency....
