'Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke admitted the central bank created $1.3 trillion out of thin air to buy mortgage backed securities. This shocking admission came from the Joint Economic Committee hearing on Capital Hill last week. I was dumbfounded when I saw Bernanke shake his head in the affirmative as Representative Ron Paul said, “Well, where did you get the money? You created this money. So you did monetize debt, and that went into the banking system.” I was amazed he admitted this. I looked up the original hearing on C-Span to make sure the clip was not edited. It was not.
What is even more shocking is I could not find a single mainstream news agency that covered this revelation.'

'A US soldier who tried to help injured Iraqi civilians after a US apache strike says his superior ordered him not to tend to the injured children on the scene. Ethan McCord, a US infantry soldier, was one of the six troopers who were dispatched to the scene after the apache helicopters killed a dozen people, including two Reuters staff, in Baghdad.
"When I came on the scene I saw the bodies, I could hear a child crying, so the crying was coming from the van so I immediately went up to the van and when I looked inside I saw a girl who's about three years of age, she had a belly wound, and glass in her eyes and in her hair," McCord told Press TV in an exclusive interview on Sunday. Central American countries were there before the quake hit and they are still there, Israel packed up her bags and left as soon as the cameras stopped filming them. By all reports they should still be there or at least have left the hospital there for the ones who are committed to a long term care for the injured.

Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn't know this, It's easy to check this out if you don't believe it. Be sure to show it to your kids. They need a little history lesson on what's what, and it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are facts!

Social Security Cards, up until the 1980s, expressly stated that the number and card were NOT to be used for identification purposes. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway, and the message was removed.

When Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) program, he promised:

1.) That participation in the program would be completely voluntary;
No longer Voluntary

2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual incomes into the program;
Now 7.65% on the first $90,000.

3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year;
No longer tax deductible.

4.) That the money the participants put into the independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the general operating fund would therefore only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other government program;
Under Johnson, the money was moved to the general fund and spent for other purposes.

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.
Under Clinton & Gore, up to 85% of your Social Security benefits can be taxed.

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security benefit payment each month, only to find that we are being taxed on 85% of the money we originally paid to the Federal Government to be 'put away' you may be interested in the following:

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democrat controlled House and Senate.

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A: The Democrat Party.

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democrat Party, with Al Gore casting the 'tie-breaking' deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the US.

Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
A: Jimmy Carter and the Democrat party. Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65 they began to receive Social Security payments! The Democrat Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!

Then, after violating the original (FICA) contract, the Democrats turned around and told you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away! Bovine Scattar!!!

The worst part about it is that uninformed citizens believe it, and believe that the Democats are "for the people." Bovine Scattar!!!

AND CONGRESS GIVES THEMSELVES 100% RETIREMENT FOR ONLY SERVING ONE TERM.

According to an incident report filed by the U.S. military unit, 205TH RCAG (Regional Corps Advisory Group), four Canadian soldiers were killed and seven others and an interpreter were wounded on Sept. 3, 2006, when a jet dropped a bomb on a building they occupied during the second day of Operation MEDUSA.
The Canadian military reported at the time that the four soldiers died in battles with Taliban forces.

Topic seems to have strayed quite far from how Iranians treat prisoners and how the USA does.
I'm female so I have a female viewpoint. When I go south I am treated with about the same respect in the States as I am in Canada. I know how Iran treats women. Logical deduction, Iran treats prisoners worse than the US does. Most prisoners in the USA are treated fairly well. What is an Iranian prison like?

MEXICO CITY – A Mexican drug cartel massacred 72 Central and South American migrants within 100 miles of the U.S. border that they were trying to reach, according to an Ecuadorean survivor who escaped and stumbled wounded to a -- where he alerted marines, official said Wednesday.
The marines fought the cartel gunmen at a ranch in the northern state of Tamaulipas on Tuesday, a battle that left one marine and three suspects dead. They found the bodies of 58 men and 14 women in a room, some piled on top of each other.
