How old is the average Anime character?

Ever seen 'Sailor Moon'? When my girls were younger, they'd watch it - and I thought 'The people who made this are pretty twisted', the girls on Sailor Moon are most definitely drawn as sexual objects, yet also drawn as 12 year olds. Ugh.

More evidence at how dumb the western world is and how horribly they treat their citizens.
This is nothing but a joke, a poor joke nothing that I find particularly funny, but nothing distasteful either. However jail for 20 years? LOL @ USA.

Got any kids?

No....but you're an expert.

I have two grown children.......both of whom are sane, independent, intelligent, good caring people.........and they both seem to like me. :)

One of whom is an excellent father.

I passed.

Come talk to me when you have grown kids.

And here is the clue in raising them: actions have consequences.

Using peoples children in a widely publicized video without permission and including material that is questionable at best may not be criminal, but it is exceptionally bad behaviour, and needs to be corrected.

You don't need to be an expert on children or have any of your own to know facing 20 years is extremely excessive for a dumb joke. More overreacting from overprotective housewives imo.

Definitely!

Japanese Anime comes close to crossing the line.

A lot of it does completely cross the line

This issue pushes people's hot button, but lets look at what he did, rather than what it appears he did. He involved children in his prank without parental permission. He did not expose children to anything obscene. It just appeared that he did. He should be punished appropriately for that crime not any crimes he appears to have committed. This is a bad joke gone wrong.

So far he's been locked up, dragged before the court in chains and faced a public humiliation. Throw in a little community service and house arrest for a while and I doubt he'll try anything like this again. Would those of you demanding 20 years hard time be satisfied with just a public flogging?

My apologies, I may have misinterpreted your original post.

I agree.....the law has no place in this issue.

It needs to be dealt with, by the kid's parents.
