I hear they're having a big sale on those now.

I like to use Allrecipes - Recipes and cooking confidence for home cooks everywhere . They have quite a variety of recipes many submitted by users.

Also I found a youtuber that has some great recipes that are simple and she demonstrates them in a straight forward way.

The soup was great. I used twice as much onion, a little less sugar, and added a handful of chopped red pepper. Also I omitted the cinnamon and put in a little fresh grated nutmeg.
Will make again.

My favourite cookbook is The Hairy Bikers' Cookbook.

The Hairy Bikers are Dave Myers and Si King (two great northern lads), and they are famous for presenting a wide range of cookery programmes. In The Hairy Bikers' Cookbook they travel around the world on their motorbikes tasting the local cuisine, and experimenting with making it themselves. They also talk about the culture and the history of the area that they are visiting, with a sense of humour and passion that has been praised by critics and fans.

Here are some clips from the two episodes in which they travelled around Namibia. The episodes see them do some cooking on the edge of the Trans-Kalahari Highway and meet the Himba tribe, who they cook for:

I watched some of their shows on justin.tv and those guys were very funny. Sad that the channel is no longer online because many unusual shows like that were shown every week.

okay I will try that...lately I am liking the combo of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves...

I used to hate cinnamon, but it has amazing abilities including leveling blood sugar

with regret i do have a fairly clean home,i can't believe i am defending this, but i wanted you to know you can catch some Zen by coming by my house and helping out,i think you are a little far,but i am extending the invitation with sincerity, and hoping to see you soon.My home has lots of zen you can have.

If you were a wealthy heiress and was making a marriage proposal your invite is one I would give much consideration. :)

we could pretend i am someone i am not,
"role playing"
while you clean,if anything i promise to feed you well,it doesn't matter who or what i am, you can have some free zen

not quite on topic but was watching this show recently:

America's Test Kitchen - Recipes That Work, TV Show Episodes, Kitchen Equipment Reviews, Taste Tests, How to Cook and Cooking Videos

The two hosts commented that theirs was a straightforward show on cooking and wholesome lifestyle. Interesting that they both agreed the Food Channel errs by having hostesses which show too much cleavage during their shows:

other PBS food shows without the cleavage, of course:

My sisters and I love banana nut bread. Especially in the morning with coffee. My mother made the best and I tried to make it several ways but hers was the best. Her secret ingredient was sour cream. Makes all the difference. Mom was the best cook. I copied her.
