The governing provincial Liberals are closing the gap on the poll-leading Progressive Conservatives at the expense of the New Democrats and the Greens, a new survey suggests.

Patrick Brown’s Tories are at 42 per cent, ahead of Premier Kathleen Wynne’s Liberals at 35 per cent, Andrea Horwath’s NDP at 17 per cent, and Mike Schreiner’s Greens at 5 per cent, according to Forum Research Inc.

Last month’s Forum poll had the Tories at 40 per cent, the Grits at 30 per cent, the NDP at 21 per cent, and the Greens at 8 per cent.

I am not certain Brown has the personal parts to go the distance, I hope he does, because I instinctively think he is OK ( he is local and his staff is notably excellent), but so far that is just a guess.

Yesterday Brown was rambling on about the Wynners increasing drivers license fees July 1 but apparently, that is not the case.

Someone has to tell him he is not Trump and to stop throwing inaccuracies at the wall to see what will stick.......

I want to be very clear that there will be absolutely no increase for drivers completing their G1 and M1 knowledge tests on July 1st. The fee for G1 and M1 knowledge tests will continue to be $15.75.” Del Duca said in a statement.

Part of road safety is ensuring that commercial drivers are properly tested and licensed. This is why, in addition to introducing Mandatory Entry-Level Training (MELT), MTO has updated the knowledge and road tests for all commercial licences (A, B, C, D, E and F) to ensure new commercial drivers can demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to drive safely.” Del Duca said.

On Thursday, the Ontario PC leader Patrick Brown issued a media statement and also spoke to Northern Ontario Media about the increases.

Let's consider that the Wynnes have pulled out every social benefit they can including cutting Hydro, Min Wage Hikes PLUS they have settled, in advance, every government Unions contract by extending them with raises.

They will play the Hudac card against Brown and suggest that he too will cut those government jobs.

Hudac also has not come out with a plan for Hydro costs. He supports the Carbon Plan and isn't appealing to the Social Cons.

I called Trump over Clinton 3 months out. The reason for that was Trump had taken a lot Bernie's platform whilst Hillary was still saying Free Trades etcetera were good.

Wynne has taken the good stuff the NDP has proposed which puts the NDP in a 'what can you do for me' conundrum while they will paint the CONS as 'those who will take all of the good stuff away' bad guys........
