Your eyes see through the shell I call my heart
Our worlds so polarized it seemed we were doomed from the start.
Rage turned inside out seeking Love and finding peace
Sunsets calling upon sunrises to start new days within lives
Seekers of Universal truths on paths so diverse it seems impossibly to be.
Yet it is and it was and it shall always be once we opened our hearts and eyes.
Oh what beauty is this humanity we’ve found, what joy it does bring to two seekers.
Hearts that were cold now pump warm with understanding
Eyes that were blind with rage now see the infinite color of the spirit.
On all the paths this soul has taken this one gives me the greatest joy.
Of all the companions Ive walked with forgiveness has always been coy.

Souls that saw the master plan from the start smile sweetly on the pair.
The Universal choir vocalizes a verse of bliss that brings the world peace.
The stars above blink in agreeance that there is hope again.
On all the paths this soul has taken this one gives me the greatest joy.
Of all the companions Ive walked with forgiveness has always been coy.

Found it, Example.

There was a sweet girl of Decatur Who went to sea on a freighter. She was screwed by the master -An utter disaster- But the crew all made up for it later.

There was a young man from Leeds who swallowed a package of seeds. Now flowers and grass grow out of his ass and his balls are all covered with weeds.

I can't remember the author, I think it was Marlow.

Better?

It looks good to me. I've only written one poem.

If we could but take, steps back in time
All I beheld, could once more be mine
And all that was past, now misty and cold
Be gathered together, to magically enfold
The visions beheld and naively expected, yet
Life, woken at dawn, cruelly taken by sunset
I hear you breathe, was that a sigh
Do you still walk with me, are you nigh
Did you just whisper, call out my name
Silence, so loud, as I listen in vain
Where should I go, what should I do
Bereft, and betwixt this world and you
Aimlessly drifting as leaves when in fall
Silent and still, lest my name you should call

Ok, not being anywhere near poetical, this is the best I could do... sorry.

I'll give you all a pass. That'll make you happy. And we'll put together the CCC anthology to float and flourish on the web. Poets like philosophers are seldom respected in their day. Your time awaits you!

Juan's Sonnet #1...Don't laugh

The wiles of women defeat men both rich and poor
There is no known defense against this threat
For the highest born ladies and the commonest hoor
Can get round men's objections and all manner of fret
What man can object to a well turned knee
A softly lifted smile and a beguiling look
That can cause a man's insides to buzz like a bee
Can make a man struggle like a fish on a hook

Is there any escape from this God-awful fate
To be led like a dog on the gentlest leash
An unholy test that's bound to cause hate
A wretched alliance to be sure, but Geesh,
Aren't they lovely to be around at that time of night
When the house is all quiet and we aspire to delight

I made a few changes...
