Neil Young has an amazing vulnerability in his voice. He might not have range or strength but he can can certainly carry a tune and he does give his songs a depth of emotion that few singers can. Young can make you ache and feel good doing it.
Worst? Madonna or that Spears b*tch. Both prancing perverts.

Oh. Sorta like the pasty-faced BC premiere trying to look all homey by donning a checkered shirt, jeans, and trying to play a guitar. The only thing missing was the price tag still sticking to the shirt. lolJohn Ashcroft is in the Bush admin, we performed a song caled "Let the Eagle Soar" a few times back in the early days of the Bush presidency and it is a BAD song sung by a pretty bad singer- it's not really a political joke cos it has nothing to do with anything but AWFUL music performed badly...
I agree. I still like the Doors an awful lot, though. And now, I will put in my "real" nomination
I know most might not agree, but the worst "acclaimed" vocalist on my list would likely be none other than Jim Morrison of the Doors.... Mike Nelson (MST3K) said it almost best, describing it as sounding like your dad flipping out in the shower, his voice just sounds like a big square-ish lump of cheese somehow
Never noticed that. Was always too busy holding my nose and trying to emulate him, I guess.Neil Young has an amazing vulnerability in his voice. Prancing pervert? Movement has a bearing on how well one can sing? Roy Orbison didn't even blink most performances, but he sure could sing.Worst? Madonna or that Spears b*tch. Both prancing perverts.

I agree 100% with your last statement, Madonna was such a "tramp" when she first entered the
"star" scene, and now when you hear her being interviewed, or quoted, she has a "fake"
sort of english accent, and pretends to be a very "cultured" individual, give me a break, many
"so called" stars, start out that way, (attention getting I guess), and then later bring on the
"I'm so intellectual and proper" image. It's sickening.
