Um. . . no, the USA are the winners, 5-2 over Japan.

About the only thing you can say for the England Loserettes is they looked one heck of a lot better than the dogsh*t men's team.

And you ended it against England by what was shoddy, schoolgirl defending.

England finished with the bronze medal and higher than any other European team.

What did Canada get?

It will be England who will get the heroes' welcome home and a trip around London by open top bus to show off their unexpected bronze medals. Canada will just face inquiries into how their World Cup run was so abysmal.
England was totally outplayed but a little bull**** luck went a long way.

Congrats to the USA! And once again, well done Vancouver for putting on a world class show.

Indeed, sir. Canada's hosting of the event was impeccable. Nice to have such good neighbors! And congratulations on your powerful performance in the tournament.

Lloyd had a game for the ages. Did you see all the hardware she walked away with? She will have a few stories to tell her kids and grandkids.

I thought she was gonna need a cart to haul it all. The Japanese ladies played a heck of a game, and were in comeback territory a couple of times. Skilled, classy, dignified team. We just surprised 'em with the "shock and awe" first 15, then had an answer every time they started fighting back.

All in all a hard-fought, thoroughly enjoyable match. Some real cuties, too.

Lots of hotties on the US team. Then those girls came in carrying the medals. That kept me watching through the ceremony.

Vancouver became an American city for a day. The downtown area would've been a lot of fun.

Sorry to disappoint you since I know how comfortable you all are with your noses deep in the orifices of your yanqui cabron masters but as a life long Vancouverite who spent the day driving & cycling around downtown Vancouver today I can say with authority that story is a line of bull.

The Big News in downtown Vancouver was the Thai Festival in the North Plaza of the Art Gallery on Georgia St; wonderful friendly people, delicious food, a warm welcoming atmosphere, and amazing entertainment.

(Although it's always nice to see so many here posting in character-a day late & a dollar short.)

While you were eating Thai food there was an even larger event happening at BC Place.
