Not to mention a s s hole.

When might a gift certificate for a free men's haircut not be honoured?
In one case, when the customer is a woman.

Armed with a voucher for a free haircut she won in a silent auction at the end of June, 38-year-old Lyla Miklos went into the Westdale Barber Shop Wednesday afternoon. She had just finished work at Westdale Secondary School.

She took a seat in the King Street West shop, pulled out a book and waited for her turn. The barber, who was cutting another customer's hair, asked how he could help her.

Northern Ontario,
I've always wondered why the barber I went to before took 20minutes to do my hair...a quick look at my profile picture and you'll see what I mean.....
Two years ago my wife wins a free haircut to a hair dresser here in town, so since she has a favorite hair dresser she always goes to...I says, I'll use it..
The morning, I decided to reclaim that voucher she had a short walk to the post office to mail some packages, and we would meet for coffee not too far from both location..
When I walked in the hair dresser, there happened to be nobody there, and the young lady said , sure I'll do your hair, and in five minutes she was done along with eyebrows and nose hair, and she said that voucher would cover one more haircut for me...

I had the coffee at the table before my wife got to the coffee shop....and that girl has been my barber ever since:smile:

Not like it would be more time or work than cutting a man's hair.
... or that the next customer would be contaminated by sitting in the same chair ...
If the barber had a problem with honouring a voucher he issued, he should have printed:
"StINkY GRiLs KeeeP oUT!!!!"

Men sure as hell don't stay away from beauty shops either. My oldest has a regular customer in her shop who also happens to be the local hardware store owner/operator and the father of a herd of kids.
Isn't that the truth. For Christmas I always buy my guy a manicure and a pedicure at my hair spa... I couldn't care less about such things...I prefer to do it myself, he loves it... merry christmas to him, makes two of his gifts easy peasy.

Yep, when we visit daughter, we get shampoos, haircuts, and ped-/manicures for free. Feels really cool. :D
