Bill C-32 is a discriminatory piece of legislation introduced by the Liberals earlier this year. It essentially gives preferential treatment to French speaking communities across Canada with complete disregard for and at the expense of the English speaking community.

The bill offers special protections for French speaking minorities across Canada, however it DOES NOT offer reciprocal protections for English speaking minorities in Quebec. This amounts to legislated discrimination.

The bill also mandates the right to work in French and receive services in French in Federally regulated organizations (ie banks) that are located in areas of the country with sizable French speaking communities. However the bill does not offer reciprocal protections for English speaking communities. For instance, Federally regulated organizations located in areas of Quebec with sizable English speaking communities (ie West End Montreal) are not given the same right to work in English and receive services in English. I guess being delegated to second class status is ok in the eyes of the Federal Liberals.

Overall, it’s important that folks know what the Liberals are proposing with bill C-32 before heading out to the polling stations to vote. Support for discriminatory anti-English language legislation at the Federal level. It’s no surprise though since Trudeau and Joly are both French speakers, so they protect their own.

Bill C-32 discriminates against English speaking Canadians

The legislation, known as Bill C-32, aims to guarantee the right to be served and to work in French in businesses under federal jurisdiction in Quebec, as well as in regions, not yet specified, with a strong predominance of francophones.

Here we are on the eve of the election and Trudeau or Joly have yet to backtrack on their proposed Bill C-32. This Bill essentially makes French the only official language in Quebec at the Federal level. The reason it’s discriminatory is because there is no equivalent reciprocal law that makes English the only official language within the other provinces.

As French Canadians, Trudeau and Joly are looking after their own, abandoning English speaking Quebeckers in the process.

So this is simply a friendly reminder to all English speaking Quebeckers out there to reconsider if you’re planning on voting Liberal. In fact this reminder also applies to English speaking Canadians in other provinces as they’re affected as well.

I’m just a messenger spreading the word.

And as a resident of NB which is part of the failed attempt at 'Bilingualism', the bill is BS, the whole situation of French in Canada is BS and the entire 'act' needs to be tossed out and redone.
