30 ml is just a shower. Where I work we got 210 in one day. But yes even a little rain in a fresh burn will have serious consequences. Happens to us every year.
Sorry, its 330 mm or 13 inches just south of Moreton Bay.
........................
"Several major highways were cut off, while theme parks closed in southeastern Queensland after some of the heaviest rain in months fell in the state. Local media showed video footage of dozens of vehicles being swept away in flash flooding.
Standing water reached 330 millimeters (13 inches) in some areas and Australia's Bureau of Meteorology tweeted that over 100 millimeters of rain was expected to fall across the night and early Saturday morning in many other locations.
The Bureau of Meteorology for Queensland also told drivers to "take care on the roads — if it's flooded, forget it."

Can you get this stuff in Canada or Britain, Blackleaf?
Taylors "Promised Land" Merlot.

Also, Seleks”Taste Collection” Merlot is great for special occasions.

Seleks is Kiwi stuff.
A lot of wine growing areas were devoted in the Australian bush fires, but Taylors vinyards was spared.

Taylor's Promised Land Merlot I've seen in my local Sainsbury's supermarket. I've never tried it, though. But the Wollemi Pine I've had a few times on Saturday nights. I'll have to see if I can buy the Selleks, too, and try that. I don't think I've ever had a New Zealand wine.

I like drinking beer after work, but on Saturday nights, when I'm playing on the Xbox like now, I like white wine or Cococariba, which is what I'm drinking now. Its a Caribbean rum and coconut drink and tastes delicious.

3 American air crew dead in c-130h crash in New South wales.

The aircraft is part of the Coulson Aviation group which is also works out of Port Alberni. I have worked with and for them many times over the years.

Cant drink a Merlot if its hotter than +30C.
Sauv Blanc time, or a quenching ale in a frozen glass.

Hold, wuzzup, bro?
NZ military has 5 C130H Hercs, all over 50, 50% of the time serviceable.
The total pop. of NZ is lesser than greater Toronto.
Thats the way it goes.

A tragedy that could have been avoided if Climate change terrorists woulda kept their matches in their pocket.

I used to wrench and I used to fly.

It's odd to lose a Herc. A very dependable aircraft

It is unusual but then they were not really designed for firefighting. Conditions are extreme and there are lots of unpredictable variables. It would be nice to find out the cause, if it is ever determined but somehow that is the kind of thing that never seems to make the papers.
