A young Russian woman is fighting for her life after she was mauled by a pack of wild dogs.
Tatyana Loskutnikova, a 20-year-old beautician, reportedly had her face torn off and the dogs also ripped off all her clothes in unforgiving Siberia.
According to East2West News, Loskutnikova was traversing the city of Ulan-Ude on Wednesday when she was attacked by 10 dogs. Area residents heard her screams and chased the animals away.
Loskutnikova reportedly suffered severe blood loss and was rushed to hospital where she was put into a medically-induced coma and on a ventilator.
“The victim is in intensive care after anti-shock therapy,” Dr. Igor Shpak, head physician at the Republican Clinical Hospital, said in the report.
“Surgeons, neurosurgeons, traumatologists, otolaryngologists and maxillofacial surgeons are all fighting for her life,” he added. “The patient was delivered to us in an extremely serious condition suffering hemorrhagic and painful shock.”
The report said only her eyes remained on her face after the attack.
Police reportedly shot and killed the 10 dogs and the animals were being checked for rabies.
