Why Britain, like Iceland, will thrive outside the EU

You can have balanced trade without some sort of reciprocity. You have nothing much that we want. We're going to win that negotiation based on just that.
Just don't pay us in Sterling.
US Dollars or no deal.

Canada sells more to Britain than Britain sells to Canada.

Just think about that for a few moments.

You need us more than we need you.

You make more money from trade with Britain than Britain makes with Canada.

So if Canada wants to stop trading with Brexit Britain then go ahead.

If we negotiate a better deal with Britain, we make even more but you don't because you have nothing we want or need to buy.

Most of the rest of you aren't trying to extricate yourselves from a bureaucratic, undemocratic, imperialist superstate.

If Canada had been in the EU for over 46 years and was now trying to get out how would it get on?

It's easy for you to come up with your nonsensical comment when you're not having to go through such a thing.
No we are tied up with nafta and George hates it . Hates that we have anything to do with America , and the useless sod even thinks his sh-t doesn’t stink .

NAFTA is dead, pigs. Trump pulled the plug on it and only Mexico has ratified it's ridiculous replacement.

Trump didn't get his artful deal through. It remains to be seen how long the real, original NAFTA soldiers on before it's official expiry. We may very well end up 0without a free trade zone in North America due to Trump's incompetence.

And the same with us too.

In fact, because you need us more than we need you, we'll hold the best cards in any negotiations.

Sorry?

What do we need you for, again?

Oh, yeah. We sell you $13 billion a year in Maple Syrup.

You sell more to us than we sell to you. Therefore you need us more than we need you.

I thought I already made that clear.

Yeah, well ....

Boris doesn't stand a chance. Why would anyone open up negotiations with a leader who has a one seat majority?

You're just starting all over with someone fresh, two weeks later.

Britain doesn't need to make trade deals. I'm assuming all trade will carry on as normal.

Trade actually occurs outside the EU, believe it or not.

Of course you don't.

The World will beat a path to your doorstep because you are BRITISH.

Pip, pip old man.

Well I'm assuming trade will continue as normal.

Does global trade not occur outside the EU?

And why would Canada and other countries want to stop selling things to Britain? That would be like a shopkeeper saying to customers "I don't want you to buy anything from my shop, so **** off."

But as I've already pointed out, if Canada wants to stop trading with Britain for some bizarre reason then go ahead, make our day: Remember, you sell more to us than we sell to you.

Sure, we'll sell you stuff. The Americans want to sell you a lot of stuff.

The Americans and Canadians both are selling, not buying. Britain will buy, buy, buy but has little to sell.

That is not the high road to British prosperity.

Well Britain sells more to America than America sells to Britain.

In fact, Britain has a trade surplus with the world outside the EU and has a trade deficit with the EU.

Most countries Britain sells more to than buys from.

Take away the EU and Britain has a trade surplus.

What could you possibly sell to the Americans?

Anyway, Trump's going to fix that. He has you guys over a barrel.

No, he hasn't. Why would the British accept a bad trade deal? Do you realise how negotiations actually work? You don't tend to negotiate until one side gets a shitty deal and then agree to it. You negotiate until both sides are happy, you dimbo.

The Prime Minister will warn Donald Trump that the NHS and animal welfare standards will not be on the table in trade talks when they meet tomorrow. Boris Johnson will tell the US President they need to strike the 'right deal' as they have breakfast on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Biarritz, France. US officials had suggested signing a series of mini-trade deals with the UK following Brexit, but it is understood Mr Johnson favours one comprehensive agreement.

How about, because it will be your only trade deal?

Trump is rubbing his hands together, hoping for a hard Brexit so that he can grab you by the pussy.
