Fair enough, I just hate that any time I put down homosexuals people make comparisons that I'm a racist. I strongly think that people were not born gay. Were child molesters born attracted to children?

I don't really mind gay people, it's gay pride that annoys me.

Does it annoy you when someone says "Your showing your age"?

Live and let live and mind yer own bedroom business and nevermind everone else's.

Don't be rediculous. Every once in a while, there is a woman who is minding her own bedroom, business and neverminding everyone else, but she is not being treated respectfully. Similarly, a spouse or Gay person could be 'neverminding' according to your statement and still run into problems simply because they are recommended for the "neverminded", Gay, homosexual, a wife, colleague, peer, or other.

Allow me to introduce the concept that women, as well as men, homosexuals and others, can mind their own bedrooms, business and lives ... without threat. They appreciate everyone else's ... nevermindedness.

Eh.

I wasn't calling you a racist. I'm sorry if you felt that. I was simply illustrating that segragation is segregation. The same lines have been used all through human existence. And they all seem to end up equally vile once the era has passed in which that particular segregation was occurring.

Yes?
I don't even know what that means. And that is why it annoys me.

Oh, ok... I've just had so many people compare me to a racist and compare me to Hitler just because of my opinions on gay people. I don't like it but I hold strong to what I think. Kind of ironic, eh? That sort of thing happened to gay people too.

Why do you feel this need to put down homosexuals....do you think they as a group go around making fun of Hetros? People should be viewd for what they are as individuals...not for what you think they should or shouldn't be.

Well, yeah. I don't think spitting at someone is a new way to show your agreements. I wouldn't spit at someone though, I wouldn't insult or hurt anyone for what they believe but I can still be annoyed by it, build up stress and rage then take my anger out on other people when they push me past my limit. You don't know me, don't judge me. And if you don't like my statement then thats your problem. Because like all the rest of you adamant people, I'm not changing.

Pot calling the kettle black. You seem like the one who can never shut up about somthing and have to pick and pick at it just to get your little ego boost victory. For a 40 year old or whatever you are. You are very immature.

I have a gay brother who I love and respect deeply. I got issues with anyone who discriminates against him. He is a great person and in no way deserves to be singled out for jokes, innuendo or ridicule. You don't like homosexuals keep it to yourself. Or get used to being called a bigot. Your choice. No one is born a bigot.

The pot calling the kettle black......how? Please do explain. And try to use your deductive reasoning instead of calling names Sweetheart. Your beginning to look like those teens that spit at me.

Saying Gay Marrages are wrong IS a bigotted stand. You are condemning an entire group because of their personal PRIVATE way of life. I dont believe ANY church should be MADE to preform such marrages but I also think that if a church wishes to NOONE has a right to fight it.

Hey lass, check out what forum this is in. Also notice the lack of the usual more zealous christian defending this thread. The OP is suspect as a possible troll and probably has a very short half-life on the CC. I'ld cut and run myself. It's not worth the agravation nor is it winnable. My last post on this thread. I think I regret giving it credence with even one post.

Private way of life? I laugh at that. If they keep their life so private why are there parades and acts just to emphasize their gayness?

I was talking about the ignore thing you were implying, it goes the same for you.

I'm a bigot to gays, yes, I admit it. I am also a bigot to murderers, child molesters, inbreds, and the like.

If you felt I was calling you names it was more of a hypothesis from my interpretation on how you act around here. Just like how you judge me.

Perhaps if the church stopped discriminating against them they wouldn't need parades.

Are you asking what Gay marriage has to do with holy matrimony? I can't think of an answer. Is there one?
Nope. I think religions think they have the game of marriage all sewed up and they invented it and so on. They're wrong. They have holy matrimony all to themselves. Marriage is a non-specific term, holy matrimony refers to a religious rite. All gays want is marriage for the most part. I suppose some would like the religious thing but that would be up to the denomination and its rules and regs.

If Gays wanna get merried, that's fine with me so long as they're not doing it to just suck out of the retirement plan ... there's enough legitimate sucklings as there is.
So you'd consider any gay marriage to be illegitimate regardless of whether done in a church or a judge's chambers. Interesting.
What retirement plan?

If Gay couples are willing to give up their economic rights (pensions plans of friends, etcetera), I'd support them in marriage. Are they willing to give up those rights ... as in marriage between gay people (e.g.: without children) will not make demands on the retirement funds because they have no children to supprt? Will the Gay people get married for love alone?

I doubt it.
Why?

Doesn't common sense just say that if someone was born 'gay' they would have a gay parent somhow?
Throw your common sense out the window. If someone was born Mongoloid (Downe's syndrome) they would have Mongoloid parents according to you.
People that are born colour-blind or albino have a certain gene that was passed from their parents. Perhaps a half gene in each because abnormal traits are usually recessive. So if being gay is really determined from birth then where is this geneotype? I think it's no more than a lie that people are born gay. People 'turn' gay after a long marriage, does that mean I can 'turn' Asian when I'm 30?
Gene's skip generations once in a while you know.
If scientists are still trying to discover why people are gay, then I don't think you or I can assert that gay is genetic or learned.
