Got you ITN. I did know the difference between a college and university. I was just saying that in general of secondary education in the US. Colleges and Universities as a whole.

I went to college here (two yr program) , no complaints other than I hated what I took. I went back to univeristy 2 years ago and despite what I've heard (and one or two exceptions) I'm happy with what I'm getting in return for what I'm paying for. I guess it depends on what you study and where you go. I will however admit that having certain names belonging to US colleges on your degree wouldn't hurt, but overall I think secondary ed here is ok.

I think not

It is very good Said1. And just one comment if I may. A selection of a college or uni in the US highly depends on the department. If you say choose NYU for English its great, but CUNY (being a public uni) is even better than NYU in the English department. This is where the major difference lies.

I think it's the same here. I would give anything (almost) to attend the Univeristy of Saskachewan's geography department, Carleton's isn't very indepth when it comes to my consentration. We also don't have so many to choose from which makes US school an option too.
