I have received some excellent advice from a wise person. We will no longer be explaining to this board our reasons for various bannings. We have nothing to defend and nothing to apologize for. The moderators will communicate among themselves...we will consider banning carefully. I am locking this thread until andem reads it.

So, I Think Not was banned over this?

Jay ... this is giving me a fairly accurate picture of how you think, if not how you look.

Why bring this into this thread? How is it any of your business???

We owe no apologies to anyone for how we ban people. If you have a beef with any one of us, PM us. Any of us are more than willing to discuss issues outside the public forum but to bring it here only creates dissention. Cut it out.

So, you answer: It's none of your business.

Well Cosmo...I tried to PM people, but the message wouldn't send...they just stayed in the inbox for a very long time, so I took another route. (I thought maybe something was wrong with the PM module).

I think it is a fair question, being a member here, and a regular....and ITN being a regular and a personal good friend of mine (whom I met on this board)

I'm not concerned about my appearance...I'm more concerned about rules etc.

"Any of us are more than willing to discuss issues outside the public forum but to bring it here only creates dissention."

Asking questions doesn't bring dissention...we live in the information age.

PS. I wasn't looking for an apology I was looking for an answer to a very simple question....apparently your high status doesn’t allow you to answer simple questions to common folk like to me….

All.

Hind sight being twenty-twenty, it may not have been a great idea to post anything about it in the open forum...but as I stated I was having trouble with the PM module ( I still have a PM waiting to go through) and I have never been a accused of being the most patient of people….

ITN is a good man and a good friend...those commodities can be hard to come by. That’s why I asked about it. I have received all the answers I need, and I won’t post anything more about it in the open forum.

Thanks. Have a great weekend all.

I would just like to comment on one thing that transpired this past day and I will not speak of it again.

I was banned for several hours and I believe in hindsight I may have been mistaken in one of my actions.

I was banned apparently for rushing to criticize an announcement made by a moderator, or so I assume. I apologize for not doing it in private. Perhaps in the rush of things I did not stop to think how overbearing being a moderator can be at times. I am only one member, and they have hundreds if not thousands of active members and posts they have to contend with daily.

I can only say I reacted because I do honestly feel this board has much potential in objectivity and I feel that it is the members' participation that comprise all that this board is and we should point out what we feel, should, or should not be. But in private.

Nevertheless my apologies to all moderators.

I have a very special distinction in my family...I am the only one to ever roll out perogy dough thin enough to meet my grandmother's approval. She actually complimeted somebody else's perogies for the first time in her life when that happened.

I am the perogy king. :)

I Think Not ... You and Jay have gained my respect. It's easy to get mad, less easy to get over it. Thanks. As both a moderator and a member of the forum, life is infinitely more pleasant without the fireworks!
