So now that the Republicans via Tubberville have made the Senate no longer needed for promotions and such in the military, how will it change things? Usually that civilian and military blend was a 'thing' for the US, now it's not so much? Better?

Doing the right thing for the wrong reasons. The U.S. has too many generals, especially considering we only have about 1/3 as many people in uniform as we had at the height of the Cold War. But Jody Tubberville and his anti-everything crusade is retarded.
