no, that is not education. That is memorization by rote and blind obediance. Not a fan of "obediance" per se. To be educated in the ways of critical thinking, reason and logic. I'm thinking more along the lines of the scandinavian countries.

Indeed. In many areas of education, they have bested us.


Canada is ahead of the U.S. but behind Scandinavian countries.


I hope all the problems they are having with Muslims not wanting to learn and use the language do not effect them too much as they try to solve those problems.

The only difference betwen now and the hieght of the Brirish Empire is that the City of London no longer needs to support huge armies of redcoats. In other words the averge limey gets screwed out of a cut of the plunder.

We would never be able to convince India that that was a good idea.

India does not mind being a world player, as they do not fear competition, but would not ever vote for a British Empire type of system.
