Once I discussed with some guys in a mini-bus, and explained that all parties are wrong ..

so he was preplexed and said: "I am preplexed now: one cannot know what to follow?"

I said: "Leave all parties and programs and in stead believe in God alone without associate and hold fast with the Glorious Quran .. this is the correct path: if anyone follows it, he will be the successful."

Quran 39: 54-55, which means:
(54. Turn [repentant] to your Lord, and surrender to Him, before there will come to you the punishment [as did it come to the past nations], when then you cannot be helped.

55. And follow [the Quran which is] the best of the [heavenly books] revealed to you from your Lord, before the punishment will suddenly come on you [when you will die] and you being unaware [of the approach of your death appointments.])

The man agreed and said: "Certainly, this is the most correct way for success and prosperity in this life of the World and in the Next Life."

And then each one of us went his way.
Some people agree as a matter of hypocrisy, and others do believe and find it reasonable in fact.

SECOND:

Man in this life of the World needs two important things: the correct belief, and the correct work.
This starts since his early adulthood years, when he will choose his way among all the surrounding conflicting ideologies.

The best thing that gives him the best view concerning the existence, universe and nature is to believe in the One God: the Creator of everything, then to devote himself to worship God alone without glorifying any other being besides God Almighty and Most Gracious.

Afterwards, man should avoid the wrong-doing and the transgression on others, then to work whatever he can work of the righteousness and the charity to the needy.

So in this way, man will insure for himself the prosperity and success in the Next Life, in addition to being upright and successful in the life of the present World.

Quran 18: 110, which means:
(Say: "I am only a human being like yourselves; [but] I am inspired that your God is only One God.

Then let him who hopes to meet his Lord, work righteous works, and associate none [of created beings and created things] in worshipping his Lord."
)

The only patron is God alone:

The patron is that who takes care about man in all circumstances: when he hopes for prosperity and when he hopes to be safe of dangers and difficulties of the life.

Some people depends on other beings like Jesus Christ, or Prophet Mohammed or Imam Ali or Satan: Lucifer, or the saints or imams of Christians, Jews or Muslims .. these will be the patrons for such people.

Even I read an English novel where a woman thinks her success is related to her costumes: that if she wears that particular item of clothes, things will be ok and she will be successful.
While in fact, the success and prosperity is up to God alone, and from Him man should ask his needs and put trust.

A nice tale of a man who was in distress:
He traveled abroad to a foreign country, then he lost his money and was in hard condition, so he complained his difficulty to a righteous man.
The righteous man said: Whom do you hope for solving your problem?
He said: I hope of Abdullah son of Moses (a VIP and religious man)
The righteous man said: If so, then your problem will not be solved, and you will not be relieved from your difficulty!
He said fearfully: Why do you say this?
The righteous man said: Because Prophet Mohammed said: "Anyone hopes of anyone else than God, then he will not be given his need, neither will his problem be solved!"

Putting trust in God Almighty alone:

A nice tale:
One companion of Prophet Mohammed was arrested by the enemy: the idolaters, so his parents came to the Prophet and told him about that.
Prophet Mohammed told them to mention and remember God with much remembrance and to say: No might or power but only from God Almighty!
Afterwards the man could get rid of his enemy and returned with much booties.

Similarly, Abu Abdallah told me to remember God with much remembrance whenever I fall in any hardship.

Quran 2: 152, which means:
( Therefore [always] do remember Me [with glorification], and I will remember you [with favors.]
Be thankful to Me, and deny not [My favors on you.]
)

A believer should not feel secure from God's designing in case he commits and insists on the sin and the disobedience:

When the believer thinks himself above being punished by God for committing the sin, but should always ask God's forgiveness.
In this way, Satan deceived himself because he thought God would not punish him for any sin and rebellion.

Quran 7: 99, which means:
(Do they feel secure from God's designing, [which is in return of their designing against the believers]?
None feels secure of God's designing but only the people of the lost [because they do not believe the punishment may come on them.]
)

Man should not be desperate of God's forgiveness

Because this indicates he is not certain about God's forgiveness and His fair names: The All-Forgiving, the All-Accepting of the repentance, the All-Merciful; so that God may forgive all sins unless man associates others with God in the worship and glorification .. and man should avoid the wrong-doing and transgression on others.

Quran 39: 55, which means:
(Say: "O My servants, who have been extravagant [in sins] against their own souls! Despair not of God's mercy [and forgiveness]; [for] surely, God does forgive all sins; surely, He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.)
