For about 3 or 4 yrs Dave appeared on the old board in about a dozen names....and characters

If we need to discuss the old board, I recall you were banned about as many times as Dave. But nobody is holding that against you here.

The old board is dead. I can only imagine what the regulars here are feeling about the endless discussions about what happened on the vine.

me and unf have a way to post something now and then thats easy to knock about and have a good lol at by others, hell everyone here takes their forum lumps. It's part of the attraction...Why can't we just get back to that without all the rest of it.

Oh yes, Curiosity, our community has acquired some new members that migrated here from another forum. We are doing our very best to welcome them each and all. You may notice a few growing pains as some of the newbies acclimatise to the way we hope to see each other treated here. It's a work in progress, but overall, I think most have settled in quite nicely... and a huge welcome back to you too, btw. You were missed.

At least all of us aren't bad.;-)

It is a shame that the crap seems to be bubbling over here now.:-(

None of you are bad, Shadowshiv. I've read posts by each and every one of you that have somehow conributed in a positive way to CC. It's the history betwween some of you that's bad. It's a unique situation to me. I've never seen a whole group up and move to a new site - part and parcel - bringing everything that made them a unique community to a bigger one and begin the process of merging with their new community. I have to say, it seems a rare opportunity for the whole lot of you to start fresh and find new things - better things - to see within one another. I truley wish you all the good judgement to at least try and make things right with each other.... or at the very least, tolerable for yourselves.... an of course, therefore tolerable for us too. It's also a unique situation that we as mods, and as a board find ourselves in. We welcome you, but we've recently recovered from some rough times ourselves here, and with some patience, tolerance and perseverence, we've managed to find a comfortable equilibrium for ourselves.... we'd like very much to sustain that, and we see that most of you would like to join us at that level. This will eventually pass, all forum dramas do, one way or another. Sure would be nice if everyone was left standing at the end of the day though, hmmm?

To the new members here who have brought some stuff with them...

I know it's difficult to shuck off previous encounters on other forums ... hell I move around purposely avoiding one creature I cannot tolerate for reasons of my own.... and have to take breathers on occasion so I am not impervious to the uber bitch role myself if pushed by the 'hot button Mata Hari". It's not a win-win situation at all.

Sometimes it is difficult to remove all the scars and memories.... but it's a good thing not to bring the baggage with you because you don't give yourselves an opportunity to start out in a new neighborhood with some new buddies.

Don't cut us off be replicating your situations at the previous place.... just take us for some new ideas and new conversation. Give yourselves another chance - it's worth a try yes?

I think you all - if in fact I've read all of you now - are a boost to the group and hope you decide to stay and have some great times here.
