Kreskin, believe me : I could continue listing more... :-D

All was amazing ! And I will be there again either as tourist or as Vancouver citizen.

I remember all about Vancouver. The Granville street and the Island, the Malls (the one in the downtown, the one across the Marine street, the one in South Vancouver), the Def Leppard concert at GM Palace...

And what about the Acquarium ? The Gastown (from Gassy...), the Apple store on the Broadway close to a Toys maxistore...

I am from Rome, a beautiful city. But nothing like Vancouver. You might say "we have got the oldest Colosseum" but we don't live inside it. I think the one you've got in the Downtown is more useful : at least, people meet people and studies all together... :-D

Yes, I remember it all about Vancouver. I will never forget !
:)

Well known things even out side the country.

The Good:

Eh (as much as I don't want to admit it)
Tim Hortons
Hockey
Invention and Science
Toronto -> CN Tower -> Street Meat.
Montreal -> Boulevard St. Laurent -> Schwartz's
Calgary -> Stampede -> Oil
B.C. -> Rockeys
Thunder Bay -> Hoito
Niagra Falls
Great nature in general. - Camping, Canoe trips
Labatt Blue (Molson Canadian Isn't Called that else where)
Igloos
polar bears
U of Waterloo
U of Toronto
Maple Syrup
Maple Tree (and leaf)

--------------------------------------------------------------

The Bad:

A world affairs / policy naivete.
Neutral to a fault
Far to politically correct
No Balls (colloquial)
Under Achievment in capitalistic potential.
"Cheap" - (would always prefer to pay less) (market statistic number one thing consumers look for in canada is price (also demographics like businesses, Gov., and the wealthy. Look at price much closer than U.S. counter parts)

And with the above, less willing to spend money if viewed even somewhat superfluous.

To stuck in socialist cycles and ideals to fix certain things that have real problems.

Have lost our identity to become simply "not american"

Somebody said there was no Maple trees in western Canada.

As I type this, I'm looking at an eighty foot tall Maple in my front yard. There are Maple trees all over Vancouver Island. These trees may have been transported from the east I don't know, but if they were, they certainly thrive once they are here.

Hookers tearing off their clothes
Stephen Harper being hung from some wire
And folks dressed up like Inu-os.
Everybody knows
Some Hortons and some Molson Ex
Some Canadian Club some Kanada Dry
All the bullcrap up on parlia-ment hill
Z'nuff to make ya wave bye bye.

Don't it just tear ya apart, that song. A true Canadian Song.

Stompin Tom Connors
Ann Murray
Gordon Lightfoot
Hockey night in Kanukistan
The hockey dipshit with the bull terrier
Rick Mercer
Halifax Comedy Hour
Just for Laughs

Rich Little sucks........That's an opinion of his comedy, not what he might actually do.........not that there's anything wrong with that. But he probably doesn't.

I put this question to my husband, he is from Alberta, and he said the wide open spaces, think thats because he is here in the UK and thinks that we are all squashed together, which might be true seen as yesterday i was having a bath and the next door neighbour kept dipping his sponge in to wash his car!

As a Canadian living abroad, I'm going to say The Rockies, the Maple Leaf, Maple Syrup and the people. BUT to many here in Spain it's - (believe it or not) Quebec, Eskimos, and the coldness...

I's a Bluenoser, Baby!
Your in Canada, color =colour

*laughs* THIS is what I love about Canada

What makes me think of canada:

The flag, shoot I love that thing

Tim's of course, where else can you say I'd like a double-double and they know what you are saying.

Our Armed Forces, I am just really proud of them.

The CBC, its so misguided. Rather like a lost child warning the mall.

Keith's beer, damn skippy

Our colourful money

The word Colour, not strickly ours but still

The word Yogourt, which is ours and works in both languages... how cool is that!

Frenchy's

The smell of seaweed

I have to agree with the others, Maple trees

Eh

being away and hearing someone pronouce the word "about" as "a-boat" My kindred!

and lord heaps more, thinking of Canada is all tied up with thinking of home. They all bleed together.
