Northern Ontario,
Cool. I love bluegrass. Played a lot of it too. My father was a pretty hot fiddler and loved to play bluegrass, texas swing and Cape Breton stuff.
What instrument do you play....?
I barely manage to play a little bit of mandolin, banjo and guitar....my excuse is that I don't have anyone to practice with all winter hee hee! and the winters are long where I live............

I play bass (primary) some guitar and very little mandolin/fiddle. Haven't really played for years but when I did I played for years. It got to be too many late nights and early work mornings. I kept my day job instead.

It's like having a grand piano, in that it's almost as much furniture as instrument. Lovely sound but not very practical. I've been keeping my eye open for a electric bass I can pick up and and pull the frets out of. I like a project that grows with you.

Ya, I'd need to build an extension on my house to keep one. Making a fretless electirc would be an interesting project.

One couple that travel the Ontario Bluegrass Festivals like I do in the summer, carry in a 29 foot fifth wheel trailer, a 3/4 stand-up Bass two acoustic guitars and a Mandolin wherever they go. When on the road the Bass rides on the bed and the two guitars and the mandolin in the bathtub, and when they are parked at night they have to maneuver around everything...and you think you'd have trouble finding room in a house???Hee hee;-)

I can see it now! How is the drainage on that banjo Ike? heh heh

I've been learning to play guitar for a few years now, and I'm plunking away on a piano too. I'd like to take piano lessons once I get some other education out of the way.

Right now, I play guitar, drums, and bass. Also sing and dabble in songwriting. I'm going to start piano lessons soon, and after that I want to learn violin and how to properly play harmonica.

Also learned how to play recorder and ukelele in middle school but probably wouldn't remember now.

I'm good at the Piano and have messed around with the guitar. I can play the tin whistle but I don't think that counts.
