stable, reliable, fast, being continually improved. ...and still simple. (not so many bells and whistles that just slow it down or are a potential for problems)
based on IE core technology........so compatability is not an issue.
Konqueror, not just because it came with operating system, I find it to be very good and a lot better features and more features than my IE days. It also has tabbed browsing which is a plus. Plus it is a lot easier to use than IE and I can set it up to "emulate" other browsers like Netscape, IE, Mozilla etc. It never gets hijacked either like IE.
Firefox- because it is a very good browser, has tabbed browsing and so many features you can add to it. Never gets hijacked. A very good browser as well.
I am still debating whether to try the Mozilla browser but I think it is similar to netscape.
It is a good, quick, simple, browser and it is compatible with both Windows and Linux. I used Netscape for years but I thought it was getting a little cumbersome.
mozzila firefox has so many great extentions. i orginaly got it for the sucrity after a major problem with my computor. but i have latly figured out about the great extentions
Stable and secure with many features aside from html - like ftp, rss, fish, samba, file browsing, image browsing, ssh, browser emulation, tabbed browsing, and excellent integration into my KDE desktop.
Firefox here - it has *distinct* security advantages over IE, as well as allowing a diverse selection of specialized third-party "extensions" (mostly made by interested individuals). I have extensions to facilitate everything from searching scientific databases, to posting on Fark.com.
My preferred Web browser would be Microsoft® Internet Explorer®.
Now, before I am stoned to death for having said so ...
I prefer this Web browser because it is widely supported on the Web, its security is constantly being upgraded through Windows® Update, in addition to far less encoding problems, in my opinion (language encoding — sometimes browsers such as FireFox seem to have issues with Japanese input and output).
I've noticed most people here use FireFox, I thought this add-on may be of help for your FireFox browser, it enables you to ignore posts of a particular user, it comes in handy when some posters become "annoying"
