Been watching Blue Bloods lately, about a family of New York City cops, Irish descendants of course, with Tom Selleck as the Police Commissioner with two sons on the force and a daughter who's an assistant DA. Great show, well scripted, serious, and honest. I've been a fan of Selleck for years, he's one of the few actors I'd like to sit down and chat with over a beer. He consistently plays honourable, honest, thoughtful, decent, caring men, and I've always thought that he's playing himself.

Wild Rovers (Starz Western)

Blake Edwards directs William Holden and Ryan O'Neal in this anti-Western about two cowboys who quit cattle-ranching and take up bank-robbing. Karl Malden plays the offended cattle rancher who sends his two sons (Tom Skerritt and Joe Don Baker) out to bring the two cowboys to justice.
