Speaking of scary stuff, did you ever watch that movie Sinister with Ethan Hawke? I seem to recall suggesting you not watch it in the evening, lol. Wondering if you ever did though.
I began to watch it. Got to the part in the middle of the night where his kid is crawling backwards out of the box and that was enough for me. I'm a psychological thriller kinda gal. I think my Catholic roots have scarred me for life as far as watching horror goes. The mind is a powerful thing, we can make things happen and I ain't going there. I don't do well with horror...gives me the crazies at night.

Did it scare the bejesus out of ya or no?

Hey you should check out Ray Donovan... or did we speak about this already?

The only things that I think off that are more terrifying to see standing at the end of your bed in the middle of the night than that clown are Keith Harris and Orville.

I've not seen it. It sounds good, though. I like being creeped out.

The 1976 British/American horror "The Omen" is quite creepy when you watch it the first time.

One movie that REALLY creeps me out, even though I've seen it loads of times, is the very creepy British horror "The Torment" (2010). It's called "The Possesion of David O'Reilly" in the US"

A young couple are snuggled up next to each other on the settee at home late at night when they hear a knock on the door. The man answers the door to find that it's his best friend David. David asks can he stay with them for a few days because his girlfriend has kicked him out of the house. He also explains that he is being plagued by terrifying demonic entities that seriously torment him. The couple say that he's welcome to stay with them for a while.

However the couple soon regret it, because in no time their home is plagued by these terrifying demonic entities. However, it's only David who sees these strange entities - and the young couple remain a little skeptical that they are actually there.

Key to the film is a somewhat strange shot at the very start when David enters the house. When the three are standing talking in the hallway the camera pans slowly to the right. At the end of the hallway is a flight of stairs leading to an upstairs apartment. These Stairs slowly come into view. The camera then pans slowly up the stairs - and you are wondering what may be standing at the top of them. There's nothing there. It's very creepy though. After a moment the camera pans back and follows David inside. It's these little details that increase the paranoia, creating a creepy uncertainty while watching the film.

Again, if you like movies with unexpected twists at the end then this is for you. This movie does have an unexpected twist at the end which you may not expect.

It's a very creepy movie.

lol oh I think PennyWise the clown takes the cake baby, if he was at the bottom of your bed he might even appear as Keith Harris and Orville or something benign but with a twist of course.

You might want to check out that movie Sinister then. This also contains the part where his kid crawls out of the box backwards and that was the end for me.

aaaaaaaaaaaah, yes, if they were at the bottom of my bed in the middle of the night it would be cause for great concern...lol

I break out in a cold sweat just thinking about the horror of it.

Pennywise is a piece of cake compared to these.

Oh yeah. I've just remembered. I've bought Sinister on DVD. I'll watch it tonight when it gets dark.

I might have been able to watch it online but I was just browsing the DVDs in the supermarket just seeing what they had - I wasn't planning on getting Sinister at that moment - and then I saw Sinister. So I thought I may as well buy it.

there was a commercial that aired recently that involved a quija board. I would have posted it, but I don't remember what product or service the commercial was advertising and the company name. that info would have help me find it.

After watching Sinister last night, I'm going to be spooked out now everytime I look into the group of trees and undergrowth in the middle of the night that are right in front of my flat.

I watched another great movie last night.

The Seasoning House is a 2012 British horror and revenge thriller directed by Paul Hyett. It is a shocking, violent, blood-drenched neo-horror.

The movie is set in the Balkans in 1996 during the Balkans War, although it is filmed entirely in London.

A battle rages in a town - which is suppsoed to be a town in the former Yugoslavia but is actually filmed on a London housing estate - and a young deaf and mute girl called Angel is captured by a group of soldiers. They force her to watch as they kill her mother.

She is taken captive with other young girls and taken to the "seasoning house" - where young girls are prostituted to the military. Each girl has her own room and each day they are drugged and tied to the bed whilst soldiers viciously rape and beat them.

Initially planned to be put to work as a prostitute like the other girls, Angel instead becomes the assistant to Viktor, the man who runs the brothel.

During the day she is given the duty of drugging the prostitutes and then cleaning the prostitutes up after their often violent encounters with various men, but at night she secretly wanders the walls and crawlspaces of the house, listening, spying......

Eventually Angel befriends a girl named Vanya, and the two become close. But then, through a grill in the wall of Vanya's room, Angel witnesses Vanya brutally raped to death by a burly soldier.

Angered by Vanya's death Angel undertakes brutal and bloody revenge - especially after the squad of soldiers responsible for her abduction and the murder of her family arrives. Let the blood flow.......

The acting alone is worth a watch. Rosie Day (as Angel), Kevin Howarth (as Viktor), and Sean Pertwee as the soldier who ordered the killing of Angel's mother (Sean is the son of Jon Pertwee, who played the third Doctor Who between 1970 and 1974) give amazing performances.

Yeah, check it out. I was surprised by how good it was. It's genuinely based on a true story, apparently.
