Isn't it great to know that 1000 new cars hit the road in Beijing everyday? For all your energy conserving goodness there is someone in china newly discovering previosusly unknown luxurious and picking up right where you left off.

I try to clean the air we breathe

My wife and I purchase used cloths
Grow are own vegies
Compost
I used Bill C281an act relating to indoor air quality from 1991 as my job discription doing all the research and development the government said they would be doing.
Work at preventative maintenance services
I do mold removal
Asbestos removal
Clean ventilation systems
Clean kitchen exhaust systems
I have worked on creating courses to teach inspectors and contractors what to look for and the proper methods and systems to be used.
Even been considered creating the first international indoor air quality school.
How many colleges or universities do you see offering courses? (Environmental engineering is mostly concerned for out door air)
I have developed a licensing certification process i am trying to get off the ground
to insure we will be breathing clean safe air. Working on regulating various industries, duct cleaning, kitchen exhaust system cleaning, mold removal to name a few.
Most recently created two non profit associations to concentrate on these topics to teach the public of the risk.
Just for you to understand a bit about the size of industry for example in Ottawa there are 40,000,000 square feet of office space owned and operated by the government 60,000,000 square feet managed by building owners and manager, 310,000 dwellings over 5000 food service industries. Not to many contractors to handle this type of work, approximately 30 duct cleaners, 6 kitchen exhaust system cleaners, 11 mold removal companies, 30 fire and flood restoration.
If preventative maintenance was performed in each of these buildings would there be enough contractors?

Air, you're doing more than most and a lot more than I. I salute you! Being that age where one's elderly parents need constant attention, I'm spending most of my extra time being kind.

For myself, I don't believe in global warming but I'm doing more than my part for the environment. I live downtown, a 5 minute walk from my work. I can walk to pretty much every services i need; just love it. I don't understand why people choose to live in those anonymous suburbs where nothing happens and where you need your freakin car for everything you need to do. People living downtown should get a special tax break. Wow! That's a great idea i just had ;-) hope some politicians are reading this thread.

I decided to take the day off ,take a few Valiums and pass out ,which stops me from starting the car ,turning on the coffee, smoking ,not opening the fridge and many other things cause I should be out for the day

So If ever body did this think of all the energy we would be saving

Encourage People to have thick green lawns.

The thicker the lawn the more oxygen is created, and less warmth is added to Earth. Pull weeds out like dandelions, if they are not foreign to our country.

Proper shading in yards to promote moisture in our soil, rain-forest practice.
