The Moody Blues - "Nights in White Satin" (in Paris) 1967

The video for the Birmingham band's biggest hit was shot in the City of Love during the Summer of Love...

Crystal Shawanda is a Canadian music blues and country music artist. CMT documented her rise to fame in the 6-part series Crystal: Living the Dream, which was broadcast in February 2008. Signed to RCA Nashville in 2007, she released her first single, "You Can Let Go", in Canada in January 2008. It was the fastest climbing single on the Canadian Country Singles Chart since Carolyn Dawn Johnson's "Georgia" in 2000, reaching the Top 10 in 5 weeks. It was released in the United States on February 25, 2008.

Shawanda's first album, Dawn of a New Day, was released in Canada on June 24, 2008, and in the United States on August 19. The music album entered the Canadian Country Albums chart at number 2, and the Billboard Top Country Albums chart at number 16. It really became the highest charted album by a full-blooded Canadian First Nations country artist in the SoundScan era.

My mom's favourite song; when she passed it was the one we chose to use for her memorial.

I drive a man-up truck around a huge warehouse for 40 hours per week while order picking and it's one of the songs that I like to sing (badly) to myself to stop the boredom setting in.

Black Sabbath's Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi - "No Escape From Now" (2022)

Almost Black Sabbath, as the band's vocalist and guitarist team up again.

Founded in 1968, Black Sabbath were the band that invented heavy metal.

The Northern Boys - "Nobody Likes Me" (2022)

These retired teachers like singing lewd songs (one of them just dances, like Bez in Happy Mondays).

The lyrics are in the video...

A dark Christmas song played everywhere almost constantly in Britain at this time of year and it's my favourite song...

Jona Lewie - "Stop The Cavalry" (1980)

Hey, Mr. Churchill comes over here
To say we're doing splendidly
But it's very cold out here in the snow
Marching to and from the enemy
Oh I say it's tough, I have had enough
Can you stop the cavalry?

I have had to fight, almost every night
Down throughout these centuries
That is when I say, oh yes yet again
Can you stop the cavalry?

Mary Bradley waits at home
In the nuclear fall-out zone
Wish I could be dancing now
In the arms of the girl I love

Wish I was at home for Christmas

Bang! That's another bomb on another town
While the Tsar and Jim have tea
If I get home, live to tell the tale
I'll run for all presidencies
If I get elected I'll stop, I will stop the cavalry

Wish I was at home for Christmas

Wish I could be dancing now
In the arms of the girl I love
Mary Bradley waits at home
She's been waiting two years long

Wish I was at home for Christmas

Cliff Richard - "Heart of Christmas" (2022)

At the age of 82, with his first album being released in 1959 and being the third biggest selling artist in the UK after The Beatles and Elvis Presley, Sir Cliff is one of the favourites to be crowned the 2022 Christmas Number 1 with this song, in the 70th year of the great British Christmas institution...

Here's the full version of Sir Cliff Richard's new song "Heart of Christmas", which could be the 2022 UK Christmas No1...

The Kunts - "Fuck the Tories"

Wow. What a years it's been in Britain: our longest-reigning monarch (70 years and 214 days) dying and a new monarch installed during the tenure of our shortest-serving Prime Minister (45 days).

Two monarchs and three PMs in the same year.

Punk band The Kunts are back with their third stab at the UK Christmas No1 with another song about the Government (Rishi Sunak is now the Prime Minister, apparently)...
