Rising French singer collapsed and died onstage during her concert on Wednesday.
According to reports, the Barbara Weldens, 35, suffered a cardiac arrest while she was performing at a church in the small French village of Goudron as part of the Festival Leo Ferre.
One report has claimed Weldens, who perform barefoot, was electrocuted and it has been speculated that she touched a live electric device during her set. Police officers have opened an investigation into her death and have refused to comment on the circumstances.
Weldens released her first album Le grand H de l’homme in February.
