While other members of London Nineties Britpop giants Blur are out doing other things - lead singer Damon Albarn is still making music with Gorillaz and drummer Dave Rowntree is the Labour candidate for the Mid Sussex constituency in the upcoming UK General Election - Blur guitarist Graham Coxon continues to do the same thing: play guitar... whilst also singing this time.

Kosheen - "Catch" (2000)

Bristol drum and bass band Kosheen are celebrating their 25th anniversary.

Their name derives from the name of Apache warrior Cochise.

It was also discovered that, coincidentally, their name means "old-new" in Japanese.

Drum and bass is a genre of music invented in Britain in the 1990s which involves heavy bass and synthesizers.

Consisting of Sian Evans, Ron McElroy and Mitchell Glover, Kosheen had people on dancefloors around the country with this song in 2000...
