Doctor Who - "The Goblin Song" (2023)

For the first time, after 60 years, Doctor Who has released a single and it's vying to be the prestigious UK Christmas No1.

The music video features a clip from this year's Christmas Day episode - the annual Doctor Who Christmas Day episode is something of a British Christmas institution - in which Ncuti Gatwa makes his full-length debut as the Fifteenth Doctor.

Despite its lyrics, the song (written by the show's writer Russel T Davies) is to raise money for the charity Children In Need.

Will it become the 2023 UK Christmas No1?

Doctor Who - The Goblin Song (2023)

Here's the normal-sounding version of the song which is vying to become the 2023 UK Christmas No1, ahead of the annual Christmas Day Dr Who episode, in which Ncuti Gatwa makes his full-length debut as the Fifteenth Doctor.

The UK Christmas No1 spot is often occupied by artists and/or songs that likely wouldn't make No1 at any other time, which makes it more fun and humorous.

Vocals by Janis Goblin with backing vocals by The Goblins...
