quite a game last night in Anaheim, Chicago won it in the 3rd overtime. I watched regular time, but
just tuned in from time to time during overtime, just way too long for me to stay with it.

tied at one a piece now, so off to Chicago for 3 and 4. this is 'our' western playoffs folks, and I
can't even begin to guess which team will come out of this.

but at this point I can't guess the eastern series either, but this one is much more interesting to me,
because it is 'ours', and our division playing.

I'm so glad to see that tod mcLellan is going to Edmonton, he is also taking one of his assistants who
coached with him in san jose, and possibly tod nelson, who was the interim coach might also stay on as
an assistant.

this team, with the addition of connor mcDavid will flourish now, new g.m., very capable experienced coach,
and the addition of yet another super star in the making.

it is exciting, as it is our division, which is very strong already, so the rest of the league will have
to follow suit, as the whole nhl is getting better and better each year, the quality of the hockey has
never been this high.

caucks will also be better next season, but the ability of teams to make the playoffs will be a dog fight
all season, and 'again', good teams will be left out at the end, can't be helped.

Much the same for me and my eyes were burning by the end of the game just too much staring @ a screen.

Some outstanding play by both sides no shame in losing after that much talented effort.

yes, two very good teams playing each other very even, that's what we want for our conference finals.

just heard that mike babcock has signed as coach in Toronto, wow, he sure likes a challenge, anyway
he is getting paid a huge salary to go there, so good on him, he will help them climb out of the toilet and become a respectable team. the team, just knowing who is behind their bench as coach, will automatically make them play better.

He will look good no matter what. They can only get better.

yep, no other direction to go, he'll be fine there, they were desperate, would have paid him
anything he wanted, seems they did just that.

now I am interested to know who will coach in Detroit and san jose. I know marc Crawford has been
coming home from Switzerland each spring, and interviewing for coaching jobs, maybe this spring he
will be hired by someone, he deserves that, he has paid his dues by coaching in Europe for a few
years, and he has done very well over there.

tampa bay won the game in OT, 2-1 series lead for lightening now, they were the better team tonight.

although the score was close, both teams giving up the lead at some point, the lightening had the better of the middle of the ice, too much room given to tampa to get things done, tampa is looking better and better now as they push on, doesn't mean they are going to win, but they are playing like they should have from the beginning of the playoffs, took them a while to mature into a real playoff team, now they are a real threat to any team.

excellent western game tonight, Anaheim defeated Chicago 2-1, and actually it finished in regulation time.

2-1 lead for Anaheim in the series.

What a treat watching semi-final action where passes actually reach the intended target.

that is the way the NHL is now, faster, better talent, great passing, top skating, great goaltending, the
best hockey in the world, and better than the so called good old hockey, that I watched all my life,
and none of it was nearly as good as it is now.

Rangers trounce Tampa Bay. :) :)

yep these two teams are exchanging wins, types of wins, and if it goes all the way along this way,
the rangers, having the last game, will win the series, very very even.

and it seems our western conference is the same, we'll see how that
goes along.

Quite agree I even came back from the beach early tonight to see the finish of tonight's game-never done that in the past.

Another nail biter in the Western Conference. Come on Anaheim!

I hope this one ends soon, these two teams will be worn out if they play too many extra periods during
this series, triple overtime last game, now going into double, this is very hard on the body.

being good for the rangers doesn't help us here in the west, just helps the east,
and none of them care a hang about us.
yes, Chicago did it, this series is following along same as the eastern conference.

And yet another outstanding game last night, talloola with the Hawks winning in double OT. This series just rocks and I thought the Eastern battle was exciting.
