So...you've realized that those parallels are ridiculous at best and you start to use things that Bush hasn't done to support your claims? Bush may be extremely misguided, but he is no friggin' Hitler. Just because there is bigotry in America does not equate it to Nazi Germany either.

Actually, it was my way of pointing out that Bush has stripped people of their property, tortured, summarily executed, and starved people to death.

Just as importantly, he has removed civil and human rights in an attempt to limit criticism.

well, from what one can find out........HItler was SMARTER than bush.(so you might be right. , they should not be compared. :roll: But they do share some personality defects. :wink: Both are prone to mood swings. Love of power/control. Selfish and self oriented........very MILITARY focussed. and militant. Hopefully the remaining time of the bush reign will be his unravelling. He really should have studied some psychology...... as he might have understood his own motives a bit better.

This is a false misreading of history. The false premise is that just because of an election ergo it was a functioning democracy.

Reread the German 20s and 30s history.

The overall idea that fascism can arise out of democracy is correct, especially if the masses support it.
