We are surrounded by Duality.
1.
A central concept of Quantum Theory is wave–particle duality.
2.
The Universe as whole is Two - Measured World:
one Reference Frame is the Matter World
and another Reference Frame is the Vacuum World.
It is possible to say that we are surrounded by Double Universe.
3.
Our brain works on dualistic basis:
usually as a logical consciousness and
rarely as an unconsciousness.
It means the interaction between billions and billions neurons
can be in two states:
a) In the state of consciousness ( C)
b)or in the state of unconsciousness ( U).
The question is:
How can the information ( or quantum of information ) transfer
( or be transferred) from the state C to the state U and vice versa ?
Isn’t this question similar to the puzzle of quantum tunneling ?
=.
Conclusion:
The elementary particles, the Universe, the brain –
all they have dualistic basis.
And until now the dualistic phenomena has no solution.

P.S.
"... indeed an understanding of psi phenomena and of
consciousness must provide the basis of an improved
understanding of quantum mechanics."

Interesting thread for a Friday morning! Without going into references, quotes etc. may I share a few thoughts with you?
Just the human body itself reflects this truth; 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 legs, 2 arms, etc.
Yet only one mouth though some manage to talk from both corners. lol
To take it further, we have night & day, left and right, good and bad, up and down, and the list goes on.
Dare I include science and religion? Maybe not.

What about God and the devil, heaven and hell?
Jesus said "those who are not against me are for me", and vice-versa I presume.
Sometimes there are only 2 choices and by not choosing either, alas, a choice is made nonetheless!
What if God accepts only those who conciously choose Him and the devil gets the all the leftovers?
Your thoughts?

The concept of god is a duality - the separation of man and his creator - when in fact there is no separation: there is no duality. Absolutely nothing, including god, exists in isolation. Everything in the universe lives and exists in relation to all its parts, a unified field of energy, like all life on Earth, So above, so below. Everything coexists, is inter related and interdependent on everything else. Duality is a figment of our imagination, an artifact of fragmented thinking caused by religious dogma that has spilled over into all aspect of our consciousness, including science.

These 2 states:
on & off ,
here & not here,
beyond on & off , . . . . .
( night & day, left and right, good and bad, up and down,

comment.
What you can say -based on your observation- is that
a) we have the mental possibility of a dual modeling
thus we can draw conclusions about the structure of our
ratio/about the human way of thinking
b) both sides of our dual models seem to fit the
observed (!)) environment around us very well..
and we might also conclude, that our ratio has the
ability to become much pathetic about this...

Well, other cultural approaches show, that we can
also go meditative and even investigative about this
potential and structure of our mind, which is not
unaffected of emotion; the affectation, the "suffering"
exists for the sentient beings, as the Buddha has
mentioned many years ago...

Human duality = Feral and trying not to be feral.
Even that is fragmented thinking - we are what we are or we try to be something we are not based on a concept of right and wrong. Judgment is a symptom of duality thinking, a schism of a mind divided against itself. It spills out into all aspects of our observation of life.

To just be, without judgement, in the moment, the here and now, is to be real, free from duality, to be one with life/god/the Universe.

There are another kinds of dualities:
Matter and field, matter and energy / force.
Body and mind / consciousness .
These physical dualities ( in my opinion) on the quantum level (!)
are equal to the metaphysical duality: body and soul.
Solving, for example, physical duality of matter and energy / force
( on the quantum level ) we solve the metaphysical duality of body and soul.
P.S.
Solving the physical duality of matter and energy / force,
body and mind / consciousness we need to take into account
a) the wave–particle duality and b) the dualistic work of brain,
which can produce a logical - conscious thought
and also an illogical - unconscious thought.
