Less unionism in America could be read that they aren’t needed as much. The American worker could be getting a better shake, or maybe the unions have closed enough plants to have an impact on their membership numbers.
Who knows?
I know that the plant I worked for and another my friend worked for had a union come in, and the companies went south. It's got to effect things. I sure didn't vote to have it come in, I wanted my job. But I wouldn't have the job I have now. Life is funny.
I posted the Teachers Federation post to show an example of a very large union.
Besides, without the teacher's union your wife would be making less money, you wouldn't be able to afford a computer, and we'd all be missing out on your great wisdom.
Yes she would be making less money (we both think the salary cap is too high). She would be making a reasonable wage, and the province could afford to get more teachers and buy much needed supplies. And the union would have less reason to cause shit in this province. My wife hates the politics that follow her job, but her job is so full of socialists she cannot escape politics, and it has an effect on her I don't like to see. The union she works for likes to forget that we vote in governments’ to minister education, not to enter into negotiation with a union. Her union is too big, and doesn't take into consideration regional issues so much. Oh well. I don't mind the money, I look at it like I'm getting those tax dollars back.
I would however still be able to afford a computer, and my great wisdom would still be known to the free world.
I gotta love ya Rev.
