1. The following are excerpts from a September 23 news report published by The Verge:

(Begin excerpts)
The Biden administration proposed new rules blocking the “sale or import” of connected vehicle software originating from “countries of concern,” a move that would effectively ban all auto imports in the US from China.

Vehicles with hardware and software from China pose an “acute” threat to the US’s national security, the White House said in a statement. This includes the potential for “sabotage and surveillance, such as remotely disabling a vehicle in the middle of the road.”

The rules would cover anything that connects a vehicle to the outside world, such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular, and satellite components. It also addresses concerns that technology like cameras, sensors, and onboard computers could be exploited by foreign adversaries to collect sensitive data about US citizens and infrastructure..... It is obvious that the US wants to decouple all trade and economic ties with China. Besides banning Chinese firms from using US hardware and software, America is now using the same flimsy pretext to crack down on them for using Chinese software and hardware. So what hardware and software can Chinese firms use now? Martian types? Or some alien types from the outer space?

Using the analogy of a hostage who finds himself under deadly attacks whether he moves to the left or right, forward or backward, or remains stationary, we can see how despicable and laughable the US tactics used in dealing with its perceived adversary.

In actuality, there is nothing great or grand about the US market. Using an analogy, if a married couple quarrel every day, and cannot live together happily under the same roof, the faster the divorce the merrier. The serious existential challenge posed by the US to China is not the loss of the American market, but the US despicable attempt to isolate China from the global trade and economy by pressuring all other countries to erect high tariff barriers against all Chinese goods.

Using the same quote from the White House "gas-emitting" dotard, America is "not competing, it’s not competition, it’s cheating."

So how will China counter such despicable tactics? China should tell the US: "You want to deal me a death blow? Come! Let's hold onto each other tightly and go to hell together!" (你一心要把我置于死地? 来吧! 我们抱得紧紧一起下地狱吧!)
